The staff told me verbally and was trying to "solve " my problem asap as there are another switch customer who is having problems too.

They are bulls***tting you to clear your case, they got other customer to handle is their problem not your when the reason they gave you is S**t.

I believe if they give you the Case ID with Nintendo and email Nintendo directly , you might even get a new switch instantly and free eshop credits. :s13:

Ridiculous la. How to play in docked mode in that case? You mean we have to unplug when it's fully charged? Then okay la. Maxsoft will have a lot of replacements to do in the future. -_-

Case ID they log with Nintendo or Case ID you log with Maxsoft ?

If with Nintendo, just go email them and cc in all Maxsoft channel in their contact us.

Since they bullS**t you, you got check with Nintendo on their claim that Switch need to be undock when 100% and to re-dock when fall to a certain % so the battery won't bloat or whatever the Maxsoft staff told you.

I'm just suggesting to you so you decide :)

Sian for me too...
I just sent my switch for repair too.
Got the same response from one of the ladies that cannot charge only charge 8 hours for the first time only otherwise will damage battery...
She also mentioned that cannot play and charge at the same time, which i feel is nonsense.

I did tell her that the switch is designed to be docked, charging and playing at the same time.
I asked her does she mean that I must power off the charger when my switch is docked and fully charged? Haha like that it wont even display on tv mah..

She kept quiet. Think she knows her excuse not good enough.

Just some background on my switch battery issue:
- Battery percentage not increasing when charging. Stay at 15%
- Switch sometimes cannot power up into homescreen after showing the Nintendo logo during charging or not charging.
- If switch powers up properly, battery percentage shows a jump to 50% and drops down very fast to 17% then slow down to 15% while charging
- when switch is at 1%, i can still play it for a good while which means the battery percentage shown is not accurate.

I personally think its some quality issue.
This is not the 1st case Maxsoft recieved from what i have heard.
No 1 to 1 exchange unless it cannot be repaired.

All you switch users please take note if you have battery percentage issues.
I hope i am the only unlucky few.

Haha... Luckily i just killed Ganon today so its time for me to rest while waiting for any good news.

For those considering buying. Lazada will have a 100 dollar voucher next week and they have as switch listed at 639. So keep your eyes peeled. I am considering to jump in at that price too.

Problem is I got no money to get switch, some accessories like SP, cable and case, SD card and stuff all at once. So maybe I should just wait until June or something.

Where to buy good and cheap tampered glass SP?

I hate distributors that give stupid reasons.

Last time I had a laptop that always had blue screen and other problems. Their advise was, disable Windows update. Windows update is the cause for the problem. I just gave the WTF face and say, you either tell me a specific update that has a problem or you go call Microsoft and tell them their update got problem.

Another one was when I was trading in an iPhone, they reset the phone then say it was stuck on the apple logo. Then they say cannot trade in even though all you had to do was flash the firmware and restore. Their reasoning was iPhone had a problem that it cannot be factory reset.

These people. Not sure if they really dumb or just think we are all stupid.

Hmm. Not terrible. But I still scared die. I think I will rather get local set. New hardware very easy to have problems.

Because after 30 days confirm have to pay shipping to send for repair and shipping is expensive.

My issue is when I had fully charged it and then I powered off and then 4 hours later I went to turn on my switch, it is at 85%. It doesn't make any sense for me to undock it when it's at 100% or turn off the power supply when it reaches 100%. I think we have met each other at maxsoft hahaha

That's what they told me. Doesn't make sense either just warning you guys

If that's the case the dock system is a fraud, maxsoft don't even put in effort cooking up an excuse, scare tactic, using the samsung incident to bluff

Hi guys I just went to maxsoft to ask about the status of my defective battery on my switch, so far they had sent it for repair and will take 3 to 5 weeks for them to contact me. A staff in maxsoft said that the problem lies in overcharging (when its 100%) more than 8 hours. The staff said that you should only charge 7-8 hours on the first day and you should stop charging at the 100% mark. The staff also mentioned that if you overcharge the switch, the battery will either bloat or explode, same goes to all phones.
Shouldn't the Switch automatically stop charging when it reaches 100%? It needs the user to manually stop it in time to prevent overcharging?
