i just received my switch ytd noon, but there isn't warranty card inside the box. I wrote in to Lazada CS to request them check with seller, and within 3 hours, Lazada replied me that i suppose to have warranty card. They will check with seller and update me.

Anybody has same issue as me?

I havent start playing with the switch yet, in case i may need to return the console =/

is your set sold and fulfilled by Lazada?

my first set from them which I returned due to cosmetic damages out of box had no warranty card, in it there was a paper placed on top of the dock with local SG Distributor details which is Maxsoft together with UAE and some other countries.

outside the box below the serial cut out got a sticker which I presume states the Japan Distributor plus a note which says AC Adapter: HAC-002 (EUR) For Use in Singapore.

because subsequently I bought another Neon set (my own personal set now) from Qoo10 which claims to be local as well, has the same piece of paper in the box, placed on top of the dock and AC adapter sticker details below the serial cutout on the outer part of the box.

paper details & sticker found on my current neon set box:

& my Gray set which I purchased from Lazada 2 days back again which I did not open, had the same AC Adapter details "For use in Singapore" again.

i hope this means it's a local set.

might need others to confirm this as well, especially if anyone has an export set to see if they have these things we mentioned.

I do not think local distributor will help to fix those export set which are not covered under their wty as they are not earning from them....

it is a manufacturing defect so it will be under the warranty regardless

its like saying they sell u a car without wheels and say warranty nvr gurantee u will recieve with wheels

You probably will have more luck contacting Nintendo directly then.
As far as Maxsoft is concerned, they don't manufacture Switch and are only concerned with those they sell (and I even doubt that :s13:).
I contacted Maxsoft before regarding faulty joycon and first thing they asked me is serial number of my console. After I reply, they take 1 whole day (yes I'm not kidding) to say yes it's a console we distribute, please bring to our office. Based from their response to my enquiry, I highly doubt they want anything to do with export sets.

So i got the Xiaomi 10k Pro power bank few days ago and finally got round to testing it. Connection via USB A to micro USB with USB C adapter (comes with the power bank).

hMb8Ijv.jpg

Started with 84% and turn on max brightness, max audio level, wifi on, earphone connected and playing with pro controller with the joy-cons connected to Switch. Started playing BotW for 1 hour. For around 15mins of the 1hr play time, I was scanning amiibo and reloading save files to farm certain items.

So with the settings all on max and playing BotW I was able to gain 6% in an hour. Next time I will let the battery drain down to 40~50% and try again.

Tiagong switch battery first 80% will charge faster than the last 20%, not sure if true or not, but the result of this test is very encouraging, no need to go and buy other more expensive power bank with USB PD. The thin and compact $35 Xiaomi is suitable for my needs and fit in my switch case perfectly.

Hope this helps those on the fence regarding buying a power bank for Switch and scare that you cant charge and play at the same time.

The problem is you imported the car yourself from overseas but expect local distributor to fix it.

Unless the manufacturer had pass down special instruction, i seriously doubt Maxsoft would fix a export set, nevertheless the most straight forward way to know is to call them up directly.

Otherwise as what Marukoban had advised, you probably have more luck contacting Nintendo directly on this issue.

Maxsoft definitely won't fix export set. There's a reason why local set costs more right? You pay more for the local warranty. Wanna fix your export set? Send it back to the country you bought from.

Would you guys rather buy digital or physical copy? Thinking of whether to build up my game library digitally or physically.

Depends on few factors:

1. How much you want to play the game. If you wait, there might be sales on physical copy of that game.

2. Multiplayer. I Probably will buy digital on all multiplayer (Mario Kart 8, Arms, Etc).
2a. Unless, there is significant discount on physical copy (Like bomberman R, i bought it at only $55 compared to digital $75++).

3. Single Player. Go Physical, probably complete and sell.

4. Box collection to feel satkiness.

So don't fixate on if buy physical, everything must be physical. Flexible abit

Question to you guys that send joy-con to maxsoft. How severe is the joy-con Desync to you?

Does it desync when you use it
a. Behind your back?
b. Cover Partially by your body parts?(Eg, leg, hand)
C. When you cover the joy-con with your other hand?

1. 1m
1a.
1b.
1c.

2. 2m
2a.
2b.
2c.

3. 3m and beyond.
3a.
3b.
3c.

4. 4m and beyond. If your living room is big enough haha.
4a.
4b.
4c.

I'm debating needing to bring down the console not. I feel mine is not such a huge problem (although desync occurs).

Thanks for sharing.

Side note : I call and ask them about the second joy-con controllers i bought from qishan. They said just bring down to let them check on their end.

Hooted physical all the way since NES days. Only go digital for PC games and console digital exclusives. I dont resell games so point 3 not important.

2. Multiplayer. I Probably will buy digital on all multiplayer (Mario Kart 8, Arms, Etc).

Maxsoft need both the joycon and also the console itself for testing ?

The most important accessory to get for Switch:

d155de478dce4584811846d8b3ac613b.png

1. Maxsoft wont change the Switch battery for you unless the battery/Switch is faulty.
2. Want to have a battery as gd as new? You will have to replace it yourself even if its within the 1 year warranty.
3. You definitely have to change to a new battery sooner or later. Say..probably 1-2 year time?
4. You need this to fix the Joycon desync issue. Took me 5-10 min. Unless Maxsoft 1 to 1 exchange for you..prepare to wait 4-5 weeks to get it back.

old news.. but
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-03-10-why-nintendo-switch-games-are-ending-up-more-expensive
What does this mean? Well, we've heard that the cost of manufacturing a Nintendo Switch game is higher than the cost of making a PS4, PC or Xbox One game, because the cartridges the Switch uses cost more to make than Blu-ray discs.

But why would a Nintendo Switch game cost more on the Nintendo eShop? Digital games, after all, are just a download. There's no need to factor in costly cart manufacture with an eShop game. Well, we've heard that Nintendo's policy is that Switch eShop games should cost the same as their physical versions, in a bid to keep bricks and mortar shops on-side.

so my hope is... game publishers would jus go digital. forgo the physical version. 10USD extra is way too much imo.:s22:
so my stand is correct, if game shops were to only sell consoles and not games, game prices will go down.

Please dont. Then collector will lose the satkiness of owning physical games :(
