Do you think its a good idea to get additional joy-cons together with Mario Kart 8 (assuming I'm able to reserve one on launch)?

This is in anticipation for a kid's birthday party and thinking of having them play on the screen with split-screen.

After that still got play or just only use one time.. haha

I would feel yes. Mario kart sure fun.. but u better buy those protection for the joycons.. sure drop from kids hands one.
