Gosh ... China going to sell unlocked 1020 for 5999 CNY (980 USD)! That is really expensive.
Ya. Is ~SGD$1200. Really too high for average consumers.
Kopi22, u too humble. u where got average? u can easily afford 100 sets and throw along the streets right?

Ya. I think the article is too brief. No mentioning of over-sampling of 5MP, nor the reframing power of the Nokia camera apps. It is not capturing the attention of readers at all imo.
Can anyone that bought a 1020 give a review on it? Like pros and cons, and make some comparisons with other lumias. Thanks and as usual, enjoy your lumiassss
Why Nokia didn't release more color for L1020??![]()
tbh how many Chinese were going to buy a 1020 anyway? the nouveau riche are only looking at iPhones and S4s because they're status symbols. As for the middle-class, well even if the 1020 was at a price parity with the android flagships/iPhone, again, they'd go for the popular choices (i.e not the high-end lumias)
I think if nokia were to attempt to penetrate the Chinese market they'd do a better job with their low-end sets
Apple doesn't come by from day one.Gosh ... China going to sell unlocked 1020 for 5999 CNY (980 USD)! That is really expensive.

1.6 second exposure, held with bare hands![]()
Did some manual control since its near impossible to get such picture with automatic setting, as the exposure are usually short to prevent shakes..
Optical Image Stabilization FTW.

long long wait for Singapore to bring in Lumia1020....cant wait for starhub to bring in......
Regarding the internet tethering, I guess it is depend on your network and apn. I turned on tethering on the first try and it worked without any access point app installed. I only put in the apn setting and thats it.
As for the 5 vs 8 devices connected, it depends on how much upload bandwith your internet is. At my place, jakarta, its is pretty low to be considered 3.5g, 5.5mbps download and 1.5 mbps upload, max.
