My bad, Nokia 6 & 6.1 doesn't have LTE-A, so only 4G.

Nokia 7 Plus / 8 / 8 Sirocco do have LTE-A, but not sure if it supports interband CA (like Samsung/Sony phones), or intraband CA only (like many Xiaomi phones).
Maybe should drop by M1 store to see the display set whether the data connection appears as 4G or 4G+

Display sets never have any sim card inserted (and not sure if you're allowed to insert your own to test). Also not sure if there's any display set or not; last weekend I tried 3 M1 Shops and none have it.

Challenger JP has both N6.1 and N7+ and of course N8 (last year model) on display. N6.1 feels surprisingly good in hand though camera not as good as N7+

The edgy feel on N6.1 makes it feel more secure on hand. :) and has FM Radio which N7+ lacks.

so far based on about 1 week of trying the camera on nokia 7 plus

the stock camera has much better built in denoise than 3rd party apps. If you use a 3rd party app, the image is notably noisier in low light especially RGB noise, unless your ISO is strictly kept at 50

the stock app's pro mode is lacking an ISO/shutter speed display so you wont know what is your current ISO/shutter if you're shooting auto, you may need a 3rd party app like opencamera or proshot if you need that kind of UI feedback.

i have also found that in some 3rd party apps like opencamera and camera FV5, autofocus doesnt work if you're shooting in manual - you have to use manual focus or the camera will never focus and take the shot. I encounter this behaviour before in my old LG G6 for 3rd party apps so it seems to be an app thing rather than a phone thing.

I wonder how's the performance of the camera especially for low light shots. Read that it does not have OIS but only the EIS?

Hi guys. I want to confirm.
The 6.1 being sold here is only 64gb/4gb variant?
I’m planning to buy at MH today.

i can provide 2 of my personal samples (nokia 7 plus)

Auto mode
1/20s ISO-245
(the most evident noise are the white specks in the night sky)
If you shoot auto, the shutter will never go slower than 1/14 (can be tested by covering the lens completely) but i personally feel that for night scenes you need 1/10 or less, else will still get noticeable noise... (alternatively, use stock app with HDR at night and it can help a bit at producing less noisy images but imo these HDR things tend to reduce your image detail too)

manual mode
1/5s ISO100
(if the phone had OIS i probably could do 1/4s handheld, but this is my max limit for a phone without stabilisation)

yes it has no OIS but usually where that suffers more is if you try to shoot 4K video. the 1.4 micron pixels at least helps light capture so if you go manual handheld for low light you may not need to exceed ISO 200 so it wont need to end up like a sony where the ISO is so high leading to even more noise

i feel that the image processor doesnt like dark objects that much. its not even about dim scenes, any well lit object, as long as it is dark gray or black, will have more RGB noise that the rest of the scene

The N6.1 at Challenger store I saw was 64 GB which surprise me ('cos thought it should be 32/3 GB for local set). I forgotten to check the variant though.

The details are pretty nice for the day shots. Softer during the night. Noise level control quite ok. At least the EIS is doing a better job to prevent blurry shots than the MI A1.

i think even if it had OIS, the Mi A1 has smaller pixels and way smaller aperture, it would already struggle in low light

OIS really only comes into play when shooting video. When shooting photo its more of a factor if you're shooting handheld at very slow shutter (below 1/10s) and the slightest motion in hand can blur the shot. Vast majority of people who shoot handheld will just leave the camera in auto anyway.
