Non profit does not mean the employees are made up of volunteers. They are still run like a company and hire employees, and the higher the appointment in an organisation, the higher the pay.

Ministers, MPs, police, teachers, doctors, nurses, civil servants all should get low pay because they are all JLBs and serving people. Only edmwers deserve high pay

There is a thing called market salary pricing. Non profit doesn't mean work for free or low price.
