Just jump over from ip5 to n3 and the camera really cmi sad :(

then go back to the tiny screen lor. i am very happy with the n3 camera. if you do not know how to use it fully or have shaky hands, dun blame it on the hardware lah.

N3 camera is not the best out there.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you have done it.

In camera Settings, disable "Stabilization" for normal shoot (Whichever modes). That will makes the "processing.." step gone and you will be able to focus and thus resulted in good quality shots.

That "Stabilization" is for night shots which captures more light for brighter photos in dark condition, and not to stabilize the camera while shooting in bright condition.:s22:

That term is pretty misleading.

For a flagship phone, this camera is horrible. I have used a fair bit of phones and this is by far the worst one yet. The rest all surpass N3 when taking pics and focusing. I'm not even in a dimly lit room and it gives me problem focusing.

Might jump after a year. Or who knows!

Not until the G Pro 2 is introduced

My next phone has got to have at least the OIS as the specification of all upcoming new phones are more or less on par already...

Re

OK tried mine with some dark shots. You'll need to have a minimum distance away from the object to get a clean shot.

No problem here.

what is OIS?

Optical Image Stabilization...

kope from wiki
Image stabilization (IS) is a family of techniques used to reduce blurring associated with the motion of a camera during exposure. Specifically, it compensates for pan and tilt (angular movement, equivalent to yaw and pitch) of a camera or other imaging device. It is used in image-stabilized binoculars, still and video cameras, and astronomical telescopes. With still cameras, camera shake is particularly problematic at slow shutter speeds or with long focal length (telephoto) lenses. With video cameras, camera shake causes visible frame-to-frame jitter in the recorded video. In astronomy, the problem of lens-shake is added to by variations in the atmosphere over time, which will cause the apparent positions of objects to change.
