yes, could be a little slower but if you are connected to a USB 2.0 port with a USB 3.0 cable, it will be USB 2.0 speed.

I think both of you are right. As long as either one(port or cable) is 2.0, the speed will be limited to 2.0 speed.
Anyways, has anyone tested the data transfer speed on the note 4? How does it compare to note 3 or S5 usb 3.0? Theoretically usb 3.0 is up to 10 times faster than usb 2.0. Not sure if Note 4 has any special tech that makes data transfer fast, apart from fast charging.
My note 3 transfers data pretty fast using the usb 3.0, note 4 would seem like a downgrade in this aspect.![]()
You cannot fit a USB 3.0 cable to a USB 2.0 port. The header is different.
