ipad gen 10 with apple pencil 1 is good enough. Have been using it alot in meetings. Once saved my imac and iphone all can read. Also can easily screenshot powerpoint slides on imac to ipad and included into notes while you are on your ipad.

Used m1 iPad Air with 2nd gen Apple Pencil for my entire 3 years in Uni… and still using it currently… if you are in apple eco system, apple allow copying image from an apple device to another… which had been very helpful when I copy images from Mac to GoodNotes for note taking purposes…

If interested, would recommend you to get one during student promo (you might need ask a student to help u buy) where a pencil is given for free when you purchase a iPad…

you should go and try physically how apple and samsung stylus feel when writing on their tablets.

a hands-on try is much better than reading all the reviews.

my personal preference is apple ipad as its just more natural for me such as the stylus weight, design and gripe

If you want paper like scribbling feel and eink also, remarkable and boox can consider. If you want a multimedia tablet, then ipad.

For a true note taking feel, cannot go wrong with remarkable, but you really need to treat it like a electronic ver of notebook. For android e ink, boox I feel is the best to go.

For ipad, get the screen protector that has a rough paper like surface, else scribbling on ipad is slippery, I don't like it. Also staring at eink feels much better than staring at ipad.

Finally pair up your note taking session with a voice recorder and notebooklm app. Record, upload, transcribe and summarise.
