Fair to give seat to elderly. They have many body aches on back, on legs, on shoulders. Everyone's parents also elderly. One day, you will grow old too. Everyone fair chance.

Some elderly are stupid wan. They board the MRT and stand in front of a seated elderly and wait for a seat.

When I'm sitting at the eldelry seat and another elderly/preggie/person carrying a baby/pai kar person stand in front of me I'll not give them my seat

Nothing wrong to give up seats to the elderly. Better to have them sit down and be safe than trip and fall, causing a delay in your commute due to an emergency stop.

To be honest, some senior really don't deserve to be given the seat. It a choice and they should be thankful if someone choose to give it to them. Basic courteous!!

I do agreed with you.alot of them are very self entitled

So far, i didnt experience those unreasonable or entitled ones. Sometimes, I gave up seat when i see seniors but some of them declined the offer

Many old folks especially the pioneer generation do suffer from weak legs. They can't stand up for long due to pain but still need to visit the hospital for medical appointments so do offer your seat to them and be glad that you can still walk, run and jump.

The old folks here legs r weak .
They never exercise n lazy ....that made their legs even weaker. U go Europe , Japan , Korea , Taiwan, Thailand.....old folks legs r so much stronger than our local old folks. They could talk flight of stairs ....Here late 50 legs cant walk well

I was seating in a non priority seat but was approached by a kaypoh, I mean young lady, who asked me to give up my seat to a boomer.

I sighed, got up, pretended to walk away with a limp. The look on the kaypoh face was priceless.

Best is to install seats with fingerprint sensor. This will ensure only the truly deserving get the seat. Problem is to update the fingerprint database every now and then when new seniors qualify.
