So the details you provided are quite unclear.
Right now he is in BMT confinement. He is a recruit (lowest of the low) so basically no priviliges. Relax he will be out soon.

You mentioned he is in 'armor' company, but AFAIK there is no armor company on Pulau Tekong. 'A' Company on Tekong is Apache, nor Armor company. Recruit going to Pulau Tekong also got no chance to state their preference for vocation until quite late in BMT. If he is in Tekong, either 1 of 2 things can happen:
1) He perform well and go OCS (Officer Trg School) for 9 months. This is at OCS in Jurong. Got most pay, most privilige, but also most responsibility among NSF.
2) He perform OK and go SCS (Specialist Cadet School) for 6 months. THis is at Pasir Laba Camp in Jurong. After that will be posted to various unit around Singapore, his rank will be 3rd sergeant. Got more pay, more privilige, but also more responsibility.
3) He is normal man and is posted to various unit around Singapore. Most relax, but also less pay and less privilige. (Next time go reservice it's the other way ard, man is the best life)

What you describe sounds more like he is in an Armor unit mono-intake. This means that he is already in a unit in singapore and will do his BMT there. this could be any one of:
1) 48 Singapore Armored Regiment (SAR) : Drive Leopard Tank. This is in Sungei Gedong Camp. quite a prestigious posting as they dont send stupid ppl to drive leopard tank. This one for sure he will go Germany for 1 month training, and also go Exercise Wallaby in Australia in october every year for 3 weeks.
2) 40,41,42, SAR : These are Armored infantry battalion at Keat Hong, Kranji and Sungei Gedong Camp respectively. This could mean he becomes an infantryman or Armored vehicle driver. 40,41,42 SAR also got high chance to go exercise wallaby in Australia in Oct of every year.

Whether he can book out every day depends on his unit. if he is in mono intake and in 40,41,42,48 SAR, or in any other combat unit (any of the Infantry battalions, or Guards,) almost no chance (unless he become clerk, but PES A unlikely to be clerk). Even if he can, some of these camp are very far and he is likely to be tired. Later on in training ( about 1 year into training,) Sometimes, there are nights out (depends on the commander) where men can go out for the night for a few hours, come back by a certain time- enough to watch movie, eat dinner etc.). if commander is good usually every week got chance for nights out unless got tough training planned the next day.

Basically, you need to learn to adapt, get some interests outside of just only spending time with him so you dont get bored; maybe meet up with your girlfriends, get a hobby etc. You will be more interesting to him that way also. Be supportive, NS time is hard enough without girlfriend, with girlfriend means he also now has to commit time and effort to you. appreciate him for what he can do despite his limitations. At the same time, he must also put in effort to your relationship (call you, make effort to spend time with you when tired, etc.) for it to make it work.
Support your man to do the best he can in army as well, it will develop his character if he can persevere and handle responsibility. you will be proud of him and u will benefit from it also.

I think era different liao...

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/all-nsfs-to-undergo-bmt-on-pulau-tekong-10006400

so it's possible that that guy will be in Armour vocation

and...

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/ns-pre-enlistees-can-pick-from-33-vocations

Can actually choose vocation liao.

Your info is a bit outdated? or you know something that we dunno?

also

Perform "well", "ok" "normal" doesn't necessarily mean will go to OCS, SCS and just be man in that order... don't think it's possible to assume that someone did well hence go ocs, and someone did poorly went and be man. might be due to a lot of other factors.

and man is the most relax? hmmmm. maybe your definition of relax is a bit weird?

Why don’t you just assume he’s is going, so that you mentally prepare yourself first.

There’s no point preparing you that he’s not going, and end up he’s going.

I think you will end up be so devasted and go crazy and do stupid things.
Its so weird that you’re on this platform you confirm not just a recruit right haha

How did you come to that conclusion?

Just an instinct because people my age or so usually don’t come here one hahai just happen to need a forum because i’m lost about Army, i’m just putting it out there that being an army girlfriend is not easy, many girls have given up because nobody is there to dote on them and love them physically. Thats why I bothered to come here and ask so that i roughly know whats going on..hoping for a few miracles here and there to keep me motivated through the day, the week and the year till he ORD..its hard and i’m the kind that feels alot so everyday is a challenge and being numb is a sad thing but theres no choice. Hope yall understand ahha..usually people don’t feel me unless they are in the same position as me..

Afaik the 'fully implemented' is not exactly true... was at my old camp recently and saw them doing bmt stuff. So... maybe both of us are right

Can choose vocation but we all know it is not really choose la. It is state preference.

And yes, man is most relax in reservice for combat battalion. Outside of actual exercise, man have no other responsibilities. Just sleep in bunk and force prep.

If ur spec or officer, not only you have to do the mission, you also have to do planning, take care and account for store, equipment, arms, discipline issues, force prep, organize transport, plan activitily, etc. Dont forget during the mission officer and spec need to actually think/plan on their feet, man just need to follow only. reorg phase also need to do stuff like dsitribute water and food and casevac, store. Meanwhile once everyone resting officer go for briefing next mission and must come up with plan in the middle of outfield in a few hours, you tell me which one more shiong? I go back reservice i usually get less than 5 hrs sleep a night (am infantry spec). Meanwhile men sleeping in bunk half the day. I also pre-ops so my outfield is 1Day longer than everyone else, and I will walk 3 times the distance of everybody and still need to fight.

To the OP just assume he will be going overseas. The exact way he ends up in armor may change but armor is confirm chop stamp will send whole battalion overseas one.

Whether full implemented or not, I dunno. But I know for sure is there is such a thing now. From the way you described earlier, doesn't seem like you are aware of this new scheme.

yea. can choose, doesn't mean will get. but the key thing is can choose. this is more formal than in the past, where they didn't ask you to formally state your preference.

Well, then it really depends on the definition of relax. cause everybody's definition of relax can be different. Also earlier you were not clear with your clarification about it only applying to reservist.

Hi guys, my boyfriend recently went into Army on the 12May 2018 and i’m really new to all these so can anyone share their experience of going to NS with PES A? Like basically what he is going to be doing and you already went through it? (Best to share from confinement all the way to ORD?) I would also like to know if the army period is a full 2 years or 18 -22 months? Thankyou!!🥇👍🏻

How would you feel if he is being punished and not allowed out of camp for one weekend?

Means he will be in camp for a full week and another 5 days?

Doesn't matter how people know.

This is a serious question.

What will you do if you bf gets posted overseas for the remaining period of his NS life? What will you do? This is the extreme case.

If you can address this issue, you can address a lot of other issues.
