Hi just asking, as the end of the year is approaching and i still have days of leave left. If i dont use it, will it stack with next years one?

Also if im on leave, can just go overseas without informing anyone?

unless things changed, if not no.

I think when u apply leave that time need to indicate

NSF's leave entitlement & OIL is required to be used within the calendar year. Carrying forward of leaves to the following year only applies to regulars and DXOs.

But, if u clear 14 days 1 shot, then weekend also counted towards the 14 days. So anyone w common sense, max take 13 days at once.

I last time go intranet apply myself. Then whatsapp my boss to approve ok liao. Just make sure those days no big events lor. Don't think there's any limit on how many days of leave straight cannot. Only know the week before ORD cannot go on leave or off. Then when applying, you need to indicate whether is it overseas leave or not and also the destination.

No carry over of leave.

Talk to the person approving your leave. In fact, there are documents on the intranet that will tell you about taking leave.

I had to apply when I took 10 days leave to travel to New York City. Had to raise a request and have my boss approve it.

I think you don't have to inform them if you're going to Malaysia for xx hours now though. If you're going to Malaysia that is.

There's currently 2 Leave system in SAF.
The 8-5 system that is the most common in SAF. Deducts working days only.

THere is the lesser known leave system for duty personnel. Those do duty whole NSF life will be on this system where weekends all deductible.

You MUST clear your leave. it does not stack. And if your leave isn't cleared, your unit need to write report. This is what my unit CC told me. haha

Combination of offs (if any which u accumulate during BMT) and leave which will eat into your leave entitlement.

If you put 14 days (of leave).. meaning use all at once, it WILL count the weekends and PH. Can go and try. If u put less than 14 days, it will be the scenario you described.
