For applicants applying to MSc (Information Studies) and MSc (Knowledge Management)
■We have sent out all invitations to interviews for India, China and Singapore on 19 March 2013.
■If you are residing in India, China or Singapore and did not receive any invitation to an interview, it is also likely that you have been recommended to be accepted without an interview. If you fall within this category, you will receive an email from us by 28 March 2013 notifying you of this.
■For applicants from other countries, we may conduct a phone interview for shortlisted applicants. We will send out the email notification by 28 March 2013.
■All applicants will likely receive notification of the outcome via the NTU application online system by mid to end May 2013. Those on reserve list will be notified later as 'offered applicants' will receive offers first and if there are vacancies, those on the reserve list will be offered.


For applicants applying to MSc (Information Systems) and Master of Mass Communication


■There will not be any interviews for both programmes.
■Applicants will receive updates from mid to end May 2013.

Hi, i am from India.I applied for Information Systems(1st) , Information studies (2nd) and Knowledge management (3rd) at NTU.Still i haven't got neither the interview letter nor notification mail(to be sent from 28th March).Has anyone else received mail on this ?

This means either you are selected for your first preference or you have not been able to make it in any course.

That scares me.It means i haven't made the cut, for my 2nd (Information studies) and 3rd (Knowledge Mgmt) preferences ?.This is my profile. 5+ years of experience, IELTS - 7.5 , GRE - 312 , Bachelors (Electrical and electronics ) - 85% with Distinction , 12th - 94% , 10th - 90%. With this profile , is it possible to get admission in atleast one of the courses applied.I referred through previous year forums.It seems like , if we apply for courses from the same school , only for one course ,application will be shortlisted.Is that true ?

There will not be interview and written test for InfoSys and MassComm for this year admission exercise.

Flanker did u apply for any other course outside Wim Kim Wee school? other than Information Studies and System.If you haven't ,i think you and me are on same boat.

Hi,

I am also from India. For KM & InfoStudies we had interview in Chennai on 28th. As per the invitation mail, if you did not get any mail it could also mean you do not need an interview and you are directly selected. Your academics looks very nice, so keep your fingers crossed. Any ways I did pretty bad for the test before the interview and tension is building up :-/

your profile is pretty good. definitely you will get an admission. I had an interview for MSc information studies.The interviewer said you would hear the result in early June. so don't have to bother about this, wait till June first week

As I mentioned earlier also, this cannot simply mean you were not selected for your second or third choices. This could simply mean you were not considered for 2nd or 3rd preference as you already made the cut in your first preference.

So it's either you are through info sys or you are rejected for all 3.

I hope it clarifies you.

PS: speaking from experience of applying last year. This year again I Applied for info sys and info studies

Actually I just checked , after seeing reply from flanker438. I think the status changed this week. Moreover during the interview the Professor suggested Info Studies instead of KM for me and I agreed to him.
