So what happen at the end of the day when I still can't get into the class i want? Will they slot me in any random class for that course?

I always thought that swapping index number for CORES were instant. Whatever the case,if its on wait list then you either get it or don't get it.

If you fail then you just have to stick with you old index.

hi all, i got a WAITLIST 2 under one of the elective I picked. What does it mean?

means you ranked it as number 2 in priority, 1 being the highest, 5 being the lowest
i think the higher you rank it, the more chance of getting the mod

there's no direct 2nd year for comp sci but for poly students u are usually exempted for 32 AUs, if u take IO u can graduate within 3 yrs without overloading.

Start in yr1 but exempt 32au. So you probably can take yr2 mods in yr1 and therefore graduate early. He say Take io because ia will take up a semester, io is during semester break. You can use that semester to clear mods.

Misconception above. Normal route 4 years. With 32 AUs exemption of course won't need to overload. Thats if you are doing 4 years. But now its 3/3.5years. Where that one or two sems shortened is because of the 32 AUs exemption. So if you choose to do IA which is during your school semester, you need to overload to graduate since you cant take mods, (can't attain enough AUs) during your IA semester.

however if you take IO, which is during sem break, your usual sems will be free for you to to take your mods. So no need to overload.
