Gotta say. RTX 3070 for $499 is really going to make some new 2080 owners sad.
But good job to Nvidia making that happen.

I wonder if there will be ITX versions. I can't fit any of these in my ITX casing. Plus my PSU will probably explode.

I checked, the 3070 is well within the gpu clearance in the Next H1 and the suggested 650W PSU is exactly what is already included in the H1

Only variable is how does the airflow and cooling fare

Unlikely for me. I'm using the Metalfish S3 casing with 500W PSU and Noctua fans.
Length of GPU is limited to 195mm.

I do suspect Nvidia will have an RTX 3060 with lower PSU and cooling requirements in the works secretly.
Not everyone wants big box jet engines at home.

Ampere supports PCIE Gen4.0, shld be ok for GPU bound games.
But for CPU heavy apps, nice to have to unlock full potentials.

U probably needs a new PSU to power this monster... LoL

Just bought a Seasonic Prime GX1000W psu to upgrade my Corsair 650W psu that I am currently using. Need to prep my rig for 3080 when it comes out. I know its overkill, but PSUs can last long and the seasonic one will be carried forward to future rigs.

No worries, Digital foundry youtube video on 3080 is on z490 which is PCIE Gen3.

Now live on youtube MSI is still using the standard 8 pin, 3 8pin for gaming x trio, 2 8pin on ventus but triple fan now
