1660 can definitely last next 3 yrs, but the qn is at what resolution. :s13::s13:

Not everyone is like you who can embrace new things like a tech hopping bunny... U will be surprised how many turtles still argue with me over a 1660s for next 3yrs.... even when the tsunami of affordable Ampere 3000 cards is right infront of our face....

No doubt, i still have a white macbook 12ys ago.... and just throw away a bunch of dusty vesa video cards in the store room.
Its the tech trend, and not what resolutions... just a slew of fat RTX games with billions of polygons will make these cards obsolete.

With 2000 series lelong at dirt cheap price, if can get both at the same price would u choose an older gen ?

It the same questions, today if i can buy 3070 at half price of 2070, why would i want a slower and older 2070?

even a tao-kart-pieh will not make these kinds of decisions and not to mention these jokers actually recommending 1660s for ultra resolutions for 3yrs.....as good as asking people to burnt their money away... i will keep my mouth shut and move on... instead they are like stalkers with vengeance... they just don't know what they don't know yet :s13:

I will try to sell my 2070 super at 600 plus.. See got takers who is not nerd or not.. 🤣.. Use less than a month.. No takers then I use till 3070 super next year.. Or navi 2 then decide.. My itx case also a pain in the ass, only can fit in mini card.. 🤣

I won't be surprise if 2080ti sellers on carousell get messages like "Can sell at $700 ? Since 3070 is better than 2080ti and MSRP for 3070 is $499.".

So far, many are still listing their 2080ti over Sgd 1k.

Those holding the 2080ti will be in for a painful ride if they’re looking to sell.

$700 still so ex. Might as well wait for few more months and get 3070. Unless they selling 2080ti at SGD500 xD

The RTX 3070 is tempting but the VRAM of 8GB really sucks. Games are starting to use more than 10GB of VRAM. my GTX 1070 already has 8GB of VRAM so its not much of an upgrade if the games I play already max out the VRAM

Looks like the RTX 3080 is the next logical upgrade then :(

Don’t need worry so much since you also won’t buy.

What's amazing is how TODAY I still saw people buying 2080 and 2070 in SLS

Not so much buying entirely. I think shops are pushing to clear and dropping prices to make it seem they are getting a good deal. Usually, these people know nothing about computers and what is coming out.

Either that, or they feel 2000 series might do for their requirements.

I guess they need a GPU urgently and are not particular about upgrading. After all, Ampere will only be available in another couple of weeks, and likely there is insufficient stock for the first batch. Which means an even longer wait.
