Best update so far! Especially with the multi tab function. Can watch show while surfing.. Abit small for a 8 inch but good enough. Battery life is improved, WiFi is improved.

Go update guys!:s12:

Never expected nvidia to support so long. Well done best tablet for the price!

I think the support for the Shield Tablet is better than Google's own device. Good to see that they follow through all the Android updates.

this tablet at this moment still worth getting? :(

i wonder if there is a better one out there leh

I finally pull the plug and bought it. SGD369 including 1 controller. I believe it would be worth it as an all rounder.

This is one of the better tablets out there. But I do wonder if it is still good to get this tablet at this point in time as well. If we look at the trend in the Android space, manufacturers are spamming lots of ram on a high end phone, and even a low end phone may end up with 3GB. Eventually, the OS will start becoming less ram conscious since there are so much to use and will negatively impact devices with lower amount of ram. The amount of RAM and ROM is starting to look dated on this tablet after being released for more than 2 years now. The SOC is definitely still highly capable.

What are the odds Nvidia will release a successor to the shield k1? I don't mind the wait as my SP4 is still good. Just want a smaller tablet to bring around.

Have, in the form of Nintendo Switch. I believe the Tegra X1 used in the Shield TV despite being very powerful, seems to consume a lot of power. If you Google around for the power consumption of the X1 in the Shield TV, its coming up close to 20W under gaming load without having to power a screen. This is evident in the Nintendo Switch where they had to severely underclock it to keep the power consumption under control. Therefore, I really doubt they will release a new tablet with the X1 in there anytime soon.
