Not on mine. It runs buttery smooth on Nougat. Maybe you should consider doing a factory reset if it persists. Or do a wipe of the cache in recovery mode.

there's a new update pushed down this morning but I didn't managed to complete it before I left home for work.

anyone downloaded and tested it?

The update, referred to as 'Software Upgrade 5.1' by NVIDIA, unfortunately doesn't include the latest Android 7.1 update. Instead, the update fixes issues with the included Launcher3, addresses a problem with the cursor when using a mouse, and includes several other minor stability fixes.

When I formatted my SD as internal storage, I didn't move apps into the SD and my tablet was very slow when not woken up for a while. I found out that the internal storage was almost full, then I move some apps over to SD and it seems to work fine now. I am not sure but I think you need some space in the internal memory for the tablet to work better, try moving some apps to SD.

I formatted mine as external. Had previously formatted as internal but the performance of the app stored in sdcard is affected. It runs slower and takes a longer time to load (for games).

even with my sdcard formatted as external and have about 2.5gb of storage left, when I get connected to wifi, all the notification came in at the same time. ie. emails, fb, ig, ted, toggle. such caused my tablet to be very slow and most of the times not responding to touch.
