Just ordered the shield tablet on qoo10. paid $251 for it in total. $306-$5-$50. Wanted to order from Storeforgeeks but they don't know when the next batch will be arriving...

Anyone ever used whatsapp from this tablet? I understand there are two methods to do it. One is the Web version. Another is download the apk and installing it. To keep things simple I want to use the Web version but whenever I access https://web.whatsapp.com I will be redirected to the main website for mobile/tablet instead of the desktop version. Solution anyone?

Edit
Managed to force to desktop web on tablet by using the "request desktop site" on chrome menu.

theverge announced that the next version of the nvidia shield tablet will be released soon so those who are thinking of buying one now may want to hold off and wait. I think price of the new one will likely be the shield tablet's original price, so more ex than the K1.

Dimension size will be slightly smaller than the K1, which I've always felt was slightly too big.

I just received the shield tablet and while testing all the hardware, I find that the top speaker is louder than the bottom one. Anyone have the same issue? Still considering if I should return it.

Edit : Upon further checking, there's a melted part on the back. Sway sia
