Mulling over getting Nvidia Shield LTE or N7 LTE 2013 ...

Not sure how much is the Nvidia Shield but I just got my N7 LTE 2013 yesterday for $399 at Courts. Nothing beats running pure Android and I'm loving it so far. :)

AFAIK, Nvidia is running a mostly stock version of Android similar to what Motorola is doing for it's Moto X / G / E phones. Nvidia Shield LTE 32gb is selling for USD 399

Users of the Shield, how's the battery life if using for video playback, internet browsing and ebook reader ? Daily charge required ?

Read a few reviews and all expressed disappointment at the battery time even when compared to NEXUS 7 2013.

The north America version can be used in Singapore.

Hi All,

Do you know anywhere selling tempered glass screen protector for this?
I badly need it as I don't really like the plastic screen protector

Just received my Nvidia Shield tablet from Amazon yesterday. After playing and customising it to my needs, really loves it. The only thing it loses out to the Samsung tab s is the PPI and display, when placed side by side, the white on the tab S is true white whereas on the shield it has the yellowish tint. (not that the display is lousy, but against the samsung amoled, its no fight)

Other than the display, performance is zippy, stylus is great with palm rejection using the Lecture Note app and can even watch my video on my TV through direct HDMI link. Yet to try the game-streaming though.

Look out for my thread to sell my Samsung Tab S and Samsung Note 10.1 (2014) edition soon :)

Nope.
Samsung's S-Pen in a category of its own - there is no other stylus that provides such in-depth pen functionality. Of course that's all Samsung's software doing the work though.

The stylus on NVIDIA's tablets is quite basic but it provides the required base level support you expect when you really need a stylus input. To learn more about the Stylus tech used on NVIDIA's tablets, check this report which applies for the new Shield Tablet too:-

NVIDIA Demonstrates How Image Processing of Tegra 4 Improve Stylus Input - HardwareZone.com.sg

How's the stylus on this thing? Is it comparable to the Samsung S-Pen?
