For those that want to buy from Amazon USA LTE now, really stubborn people. Just buy from Amazon UK LTE, direct shipping minus the VAT is almost the same as buying from Amazon USA but LTE works 100% in SG.

I paid like SGD595 plus minus (forget exact amount but GBP283.84 plus credit card 2.8%)

Faint

US version 4g not usable in. So can only get the UK version.
We're still not sure if the lone report here so far is actually real or an update fluke.

Because T-mobile users don't seem to be locked out of their sets yet, and in theory the 4G is still usable here, just short of one band.

The one at B&H show all the bands available on their set(including 3 & 7). Ah well, in a few hours time decision will be made easier once the sale is over. Lol.

By the way, Lonelyman, did you incur GST with the UK set? Or you paid in pounds instead of Amazon rates.

B&H is selling the US model. Its the same part no.as the one from newegg. The UK model has a different no. Only the international version will ensure its work with Singapore telecom. Think I will forgo the controller, as I do not play game too often. Think this tablet is better than N9

Of course pay GST. If GST missed then it is bonus. Paid in GBP.

Ah thanks. Then I don't have to rush to get it from the US sites.

Actually N9 also not bad. Shield tablet is always a gaming tablet first, not a reading tablet - it's damn heavy for one handed usage.

And reading that thread tells nothing - all dunno for sure what's going on.

Hardware, software or AT&T mucking around..... :(

I used to have something similar on My AT&T Moto X with a self-cut nano sim. From time to time, the phone will just suddenly lose reception due to non detection of the sim card.

Then, I read that it might be due to the gold contacts shorting out on the sim tray. After insulating the sides of the nano sim card, I never had the problem anymore.

It's heavier, size wise feels the same. And speed wise it's mostly better, except in Chrome, which lags often. And if you change the processor settings to battery savings, woah it's slow like f*ck.

But it's good in other areas. But temper your expectations. And always keep in mind, gaming is it's main purpose.
