Hi there,

until last week I could play Nvidia Games on Nvidia Shield TV in SG... from today it does not work anymore... "service is not available in your region" is displayed.
Do you have any idea since when they restricted this? and Why, and if there is any workaround (without using VPN which would impact even more the latency?

Many thanks for your help

COD as in meeting up.. how to deny receiving money?
He talking about person deliver to u in a sealed box and ask u pay cash before handing over the sealed box. If u pay first then open box u may find fake or broken or totally wrong product. But seller can deny u paid even if u report to police.

i think buying things when meeting up with sellers have to exercise common sense. seller don't allow u to check goods b4 paying and insist u pay first? i would probably just walk away no deal.

tempted to upgrade to the nVidia Shield Pro 2019 - the AI upscaler...
Amazon US had it for US$199.90 but doesn't ship directly to Singapore :/

where is the $199 link?

btw, if you really can find sellers on amazon selling at $199, just pay ezbuy a few dollars, they will ship it for you.

We are used to delivery man just delivering and we sign. Especially from reputable businesses. These scammers take advantage of these habits and our desire to get product. How many delivery guy wait for u to open and test a product they deliver? Think about it.

for simple things, you can check.

for nvidia shield, unless you ask him to deliver it to your house (i.e. not meet up somewhere), then you open up the box and set it up, install some apps to test, then you can be sure that the seller is not scammer. assuming you are quite familar with the nvidia shield .

most of the time, you are not given options.

according to our police, carousell ranked number one in terms of scammer. One of the reason is COD, and the platform is not involved for most of the transactions.

I also not so clever but it happened to my friend. Dunno why she anyhow order stuff. She told me it was Cash On Delivery and I said weird. When the person arrived at her door with a box, they insisted she pay before they will even hand the parcel over to her. She ordered 2 cheap handphones for a few hundred dollars but found out after opening the box she got a retro Sega video game machine instead. Sigh.

Can I check if I connect HDMI from my soundbar to Shield 2019 and another HDMI from soundbar to TV, I'll be able to receive Atmos content (eg Netflix) in this way? My TV don't support Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby Atmos, but my soundbar supports Atmos.

Will a HDMI splinter works if i only have a single hdmi output for my soundbar?

Sonos Arc. Preordered recently and will be available next month. Only 1 HDMI output.

you will need a TV that has eARC, connect shield to TV, and the TV will onward send the audio signal to the sonos. if your tv do not have eARC, then it won't be able to send Atmos audio to the sonos.

I found a way to overcome geoblock from SG but the sound is weird.
Step by step:
1. Connect to a VPN server in Europe (european servers are the one with the lowest latency from SG)
2. open the game in Nvidia games until "loading" appears on the bottom left corner
3. disconnect the VPN connection
4. go back to Nvidia Game and reopen the same game, it will skip the "connecting" phase and go straight to "Loading"
5. I can play the games fine but the sound is very poor... it is like there is a a very strong background white noise and I have to put the TV on mute as it is unbearable

Anyone else having similar issue?

Yes it has Android TV OS version of Google Play Store, with less apps compared to phone version.

Yes apps like SingTel TV Go and SingTel Cast ate available from the store.
