I wonder if we switch subscription to SG account, can we still use VPN to switch region to US/Canada Netflix ?

No real motivation to switch to local account though, because after currency conversion, US account is still cheaper @ S$13.14 compared to SG account @ S$13.99.

yes...although you can't really 'switch' a netflix account's region......netflix account are universal and will switched based on your location (or how your VPN tricked it)...

If u really want a 'singapore netflix' account, your best bet is to cancel your current one and create a new one in singapore so that it will charge you in SGD instead of USD.

Yes, purchase the Amazon Fire TV Stick remote. It has menu, back, home, play/pause, rewind, forward, up down left right, and enter.

Much better remote that the official. The only disadvantage is lack of volume control.

But make sure to get the "Amazon Fire TV Stick" and not the one with Voice control, as the Voice remote doesn't pair with SATV.

For me, I am using the melee F10 deluxe remote, it has learning function and I can used it to control TV too, so only 1 remote needed.

word of advise Logitech K400/k400plus dont play nice w SATV apparently ATV OS doesnt play nice registering mouse click as the interface is more for navigation buttons/Dpad. Mouse cursor moves but left/right click dont register on ATV interface.

Using Logitech K400+
ATV interface: Mouse click not working, have to use arrow buttons
Hulu:Mouse click not working, have to use arrow buttons
Netflix: Mouse click not working, have to use arrow buttons
Opera ATV: Works but cannot click to highlight

Ok, for mele f10 deluxe, the back button, mouse pointer and keyboard are all working. The home button is NOT working, since I can get to other apps on Kodi, only rarely I need to grab the Nvidia remote to get to leanback launcher. The mouse pointer seems to work for a while only, you might need to click on the mouse button after a few seconds. For keyboard, I've only tested the alphabet, backspace and enter key, I read somewhere that the left/right/up/down is not working.

This is how I use the mele f10 deluxe on SATV.

1. Press the "My box" button and both TV and SATV will switch on, need to turn on CEC on SATV.
2. Use up/down/left/right/select, back, menu, vol up/down, pause/play buttons. Home button is not working. The menu button is very important to me because I need it for Kodi 15.0, for version 16.0 you can long press select button to get to menu. I also prefer the Volume up/down button instead of the slider on SATV remote.
3. For some apps that need mouse input, press the mouse button. Flip over remote to use the keyboard, I use mainly for text input because it is faster than the virtual keyboard.
4. I've trained the TV button to my TV remote, pressing TV button and then power button will turn off both TV and SATV.

Hi All Nvidia Shield user, do you guys experience Random Shut down of the unit ? Not sleep mode. It actually powered off completely and have to press the power on button again. sad.sigh.

Wow, just discovered something. My Panasonic plasma smart TV remote (Model:50VT30) actually works the on the Nvidia shield. Did not even need to pair it.
It just works directly.

Your issue is nto caused by the keyboard.
The issue is Android TV apps , it is called leanback support that purposely taking out mouse click events.

Smarter App support the leanback ( basically add navigation with the d-pad ) + existing touch support.

You can validate this by putting in any mouse ..you will see the app will not response to it.

before you guys go into subscribing netflix... why not try installing apk like moviehd etc to see if these meet your requirement?

Mine is in Euro too. Gonna stop the subscription after the free trial and reset my shield. I chatted with nvidia, they said it reflects the best currency based on location. Then i told him i am in Singapore. The next thing he did was give me nvidia hotline to call and ask for help.

Yup, got it last 2 weeks. It arrived 2 days earlier than the expected date.
