True, but I could just spend a dollar, and when a good deal comes along, it'll be of good use. perhaps the everyday card is a worthy consideration lol.

But monthly instalment giro for income tax sounds better since i dont have to worry about fees and waivers.

Edit: there's a minimum monthly amount for giro right? That will mean I pay more income tax than I actually need...:/

Min is 20 per month. They'll probably stop deduction once you finish paying. You don't have phone bill to pay?

currently: 1 phone bill, 1 ocbc 365. So I need 1 more haha.

posb everyday card no min spend for transport and sheng siong rebate, be careful if u want to use income tax giro cos it might not last 12 mths depending on your tax amt

Agree. I'll check with IRAS to see what happens. Otherwise, perhaps everyday card is the better choice...

Edit: I just remembered I need every month payments haha. Silly me.

so say pay all 3 hp bills $1 each to hit the 3 bills then charge the rest via credit card to hit the $500 limit? is this a legitimate move?

Anyone know why can't i pay my starhub and utility bills with my OCBC365?

when i tried to submit my bill payments, it says i cant pay this bill with a credit card.

fill and mail them back the hardcopy form at the bottom of your hardcopy starhub bill that you receive every month.

For this the incremental amt can only earn 1%? Cannot stack on top to earn the 1.2%(Salary) + 0.5%(Bills) and 0.05%(Base)?

From their calculator, it seems like it leh..

hi based on my calculation, it is additional. but its only incremental from previous month average balance in this month.

If u put in 1000 beginning of the month, and did not make any redrawal and no interested added for example. you can get (1000 X 1% / 12) which is $0.83 on top of your other interest earned

Your example does not answer my query leh.

Say, last month my ADB is $5000. For this month I deposit $1000 more at the start of the month. How much interest would this extra $1000 earn? 1% only or more?

This account I just created so pardon another question. This month I pay bills, the 0.5% interest will be unlocked on this month or next month?

let say u have 5000 inside on the 1st of the month and your ADB last month is 5000 as well. You added in 2000 on the 1st which is yr salary bonus

Assuming ADB is now 7000, so you are eligible for 2000 for your incremental amount. Which is 2000 X 1%/ 12 which is around $1.66
Your saving bonus is 6000 X 1%/12 which is $5
Your pay 3 bills bonus is 6000 X 0.5%/12 which is $2.50
Your CC bonus is 6000 X 0.5%/12 which is $2.50

Base interest which is 6000 X 0.05%/12 is $0.25

Total interest earned is $11.91

Their calculator is for reference only. The 0.5% interest is for this month but only credited in the 7th working day of the next month.
I am not sure what you mean by unlock.

Why got 6000? You mean 7000 right?

Not like this meh? ADB = $7000 with increment of $2000. So $2000 will earn extra 1% while the rest at those bonus rate that is unlocked.

Salary Bonus 7000 X 1%/12
Bills Bonus 7000 X 0.5/12

Increment Bonus 2000 X 1%/12

Base interest 7000 X 0.05%/12
