1.2% interest is based on account balance. So eg, I have $5000 in account now so my interest is $60(1.2%) for that month? Pls correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

For that month, you would have to divide by 12, since 1.2% is per year. So if you month avg is 5000 (not how much you have at the end of the month), then your interest will be 5 dollars
