For the monthly 500 ADB bonus rate, is the increase in 500 ADB based on last month Ledger Balance or last month ADB?
When you go their website you never see meh? Got say leh

Here’s a spoon feed

How to earn the Save bonus interest

Increase your account’s average daily balance by at least S$500 from the previous month’s average daily balance. Average daily balance is calculated using the total amount of daily balances in your account divided by the number of days in the month. Please note this is not the same as month-end balance.

I usually top up $500 on the 1st day of the month and maintain the ADB of $500 throughout the month , any money comes in along the way transfer it out immediately. If the 1st day of the month falls on a Sunday or PH , don’t do any top up , instead top up $1K on the 2nd day , and transfer out the extra $500 on the 3rd day

Why top up 1k on 2nd day and 3rd $500 out? What's the difference?

What if I didn't transfer out salary last month but transfer out this month for this month salary and add 500+ back ? Will I still receive interest ?
Log in using browser and monitor your ADB , if your ADB is at least $500 , you will get it. If you don’t believe without topping up $500 on the very 1st few day and let your salary do the topup on a later day and it mess up your ADB , ask yourself how many times you get this bonus? I use my method and I get the bonus without fail.

if your payday is on the 20th , and you haven’t do any top up , you need a salary of $10K to balance your ADB to $500 ($500 X 20 days) . Then you transfer out $9500 on the 21st.

Base on my rough understanding:

Assuming last month ur balance is 0,

Then this month the first day is sunday, which I think whatever u transfer will not be in the value date, it will happen on the next day, which is Monday. So, the first day (sunday), compare to the previous month, there is no increment.

Then on day two u add 1k, so this month average is (day one ($ 0) + day two ($ 1k)) / 2 days = $ 500. So ur ADB will be an increment of $ 500 compare to last month. Day 3 if u take out the $ 500, it will be (day one ($ 0) + day two ($ 1k) + day three. ($500) / 3 days = $ 500 (any guru can commend is my understanding correct?? =:p )

For me, my salary is credited on the last day of the month, so on that day, I will transfer out and then transfer $ 500 plus a bit (just in case) on the first day of the month but first few days need to track a bit if they are around weekend or PH.

Now I am thinking of transferring, $ 500 + credit card bill amount, on the first day of the month ( I am using OCBC to pay credit card bills) so that the daily average will be more at the beginning to cover the incremental $ 500 and I pay credit card bills on the 3rd day as I have aligned my all credit card statement date to beginning of the month (DBS / OCBC / UOB). Hope can work, else have to keep tracking.... very troublesome... =:p

So far, I still can get the salary interest, incremental interest and credit card interest.

Like that, won't u be -ve salary amount in the following month?

I think if not wrong, if last month if u have $ 10k (with salary credited) and ur salary example is $ 3k and u nv take out, then this month u take out the salary $ 3k, then ur account will be left with $ 7k, and u add $ 500, then compare the previous month, u r - $ 2500 in ur ADB on day one (I think is like that)

Thanks many ppl here for explanation.
My salary is credit on 17.
And I forgotten to take out the salary on 17 but took it out on 18.
It's a a salary with year end bonus + AWS which amt to 5 digit.
But I have been diligently putting 600 on the first of every mth
How will this affect down stream for this mth or next mth for a day delayed in taking out my salary?

You'll need to calculate the ADB and see how much you'll need to top up for next month. Likely to not be an issue this month though.

Is there any way to see how much spending accumulated on OCBC credit card that can earn the extra 0.6% on OCBC 360 account?

UOB One account can check but not sure if OCBC has that tracking.

Think don't have (not that I am aware off). I last time wrote email to OCBC to ask them to have this for us to track, then only reply me they will feedback.... nothing happens. =:p

Hello, does anyone here knows if UOB's Bulk FAST Payroll to OCBC qualify for the salary credit?

As I have asked OCBC via Facebook but their response was not clear. They just copy and paste the T&C from the OCBC 360 document.

TIA

yep, it is through a company corporate account but not sure if Bulk FAST Payroll is eligible. because my company uses bulk payroll, and not individually set up the payment arrangement.

so want to know if anyone is under this Bulk FAST Payroll and qualify for the salary interest.

OCBC will cancel my debit card if I leave it locked for 60 days? That's a really retarded protocol.

Hi there, I have some qns regarding $500 eligible spend on CC. I'm not looking to earn Cashback or rebates from cc $800 spend. Just looking at $500 cc minimum spend using credit card to earn 0.6% interest.

I read through the t&c, eligible spend did not include gas and water bill, monthly hdb town council bill and insurance premiums. May I ask if this is true?
