never ever liked this OCBC 360 every since they do this increase balance by $500 monthly. Like throwing $500 into the sea.

DBS Multiplier still one of the best 4.1% for 100k, followed by UOB ONE 3.3% for 150k, and BOC Smart Saver 3.25% for 100k. Any extra just dump into SIF Go Savers and MariBank.
careful of mari, they will lock ur money for no reason recently after the rates fell. i think many people withdrew, my money got lock inside till i drag MAS into the picture. best part, i did not have much into the account after hitting the max of 100k, everyday just collect interest and they block it.... u see their fb, many cases too

For this you have OCBC to thank, after they messed up big time with managing scams, and then now we have the shared responsibility framework.

Then probably you got screwed by the shared responsbility framework enhancement that started in June 2025

nope, i was not even intending to transfer cos if i transfer below 100k i cant top up more than 100k anymore... i happened to went into the app and saw the account got blocked. then i trigger me to withdraw even 100 of 100k and i cant. i remember just a few days back from when then block my account i was just withdrawing a very small amount and even did singpass face verification...

Did you manage to get Maribank to unblock your account ? How long did it take ?

yes, after MAS was dragged in.... i got it unblocked about 4.30pm, i called in at 9am.... but they keep using the 3 working days to delay time... it was a thursday, 3 working days would means they get back to me on monday. their call centre totally do not know what to do.

online there were people who kana blocked for a prolong period of time from what i read, u can go there and see too

Wah, that make me to have second thought to open account with them. If CS is well versed and know how to react that is fine, freeze the account and after we call, they release just like DBS but if freeze and need to drag MAS in, wah, damn sian sia

3 days is a bit long.

I thought they use Singpass face verification good enough. Did not expect them to block after doing that.

The new block is due to getting scammed, not due to fraudulent transaction. It's to allow time for the account holder to "reflect".

This is bad.

Their current promo is ending 30 Jun 2024. So there will be many calls to their hotline from 1st Jul 2025 to allow the withdrawal to go through.

it is due to the new framework effective mid June. They can block the withdrawal due to scam/fraud suspicion, the MAS guideline state that it has to be resolved within a reasonable time. 3 days is too long if it is a legit same customer withdraw and they have verified our deposit account (which Mari customers are withdrawing to that same account).

OCBC account withdrawal blocked used to have a pop up notification stating they will try to release with 8 hours (not sure after mid June). HSBC used to be "within 1 business day" before mid June

what is the MAS number did you call? any particular dept? preparing for the worst on 1 Jul 2025 :(

There is one bank (I cannot remember exactly which one .... not digital banks), once the withdrawal is stopped/blocked, they lock your mobile & internet login until you contact CSO. They help you log a ticket with their fraud team and I made about 4 to 5 follow up calls to expedite and they finally contacted me around 8pm to inform me I am good to go. The whole process was around 12 hours :oops:

waaaa hope u can recall which bank is this man.... after all the devaluation of interest, i am thinking of consolodating my funds and the rest prepare it for the stock market already

kenna block a few banks ( on different days) ............ that was in 2024. So i not able to remember exactly which one. I think it is either "M" or "H"

just few days ago received a call from BOC asking if it was me who made an almost 100k transfer our of my account. I said yes and just said it was for saving purposes, and i was good to go. call lasted less than 2 mins.

I guess the resolution time depends on whether it is a high transaction volume bank or a low transaction volume and also the number of resources assigned to this unlocking tasks.

For high transaction volume banks, each customer take 2 minutes will add up to the unlocking backlog queue if insufficient resources are assigned to this task. Or they may engage AI to assist in the funds release.
