Just switched jobs 2 months back. Realised that my pay is now shown as IBG GIRO and I dont get the salary bonus.
Questioned HR and was told they cannot change it. Anyone else facing the same issue?

Anyone knows how I can advise my HR to change the description to GIRO - SALARY?

Been there. My company payroll was outsource to another company. That company also dun know how to change the description. I heard from ocbc that it seems need some financial software to do it.. i actually gave up after a few attempts with the outsourced company.
In the end I think many ppl (from other companies which oso hire the outsourced company) complain abt this and the outsourced company contacted ocbc to finally sort this out..

Think you can advise ur HR to contact ocbc on how to achieve this..

Hi ken_nerve,

For GIRO-IBG cases, our system will accept the following description i.e. STS SAL, STS PYT, PAYROLL , SALARY, SAL or WAGE.

You will have to check with your company on this, as salary description changes cannot be done on the bank's end.

Should you have any further queries, do call us at 1800 363 333.

Does AVIVA insurance premium count towards a bill payment?

Hi Emospence,

In order to be eligible for the Payment Bonus, customers will have to make at least 3 unique payments from any of these modes:

•Pay Any Card via OCBC Online/Mobile Banking
Allows you to pay bills of any bank's VISA. MasterCard, American Express or Diners Club via OCBC Online Banking)

•Pay Any Bill via OCBC Online/Mobile Banking
Allows you to pay bills to any billing organizations registered with us

•GIRO
Allows you to pay regular bills. You can set up GIRO via (1) OCBC Online Banking (2) All-In-One GIRO Form or (3) Your Billing Organisation.)

AVIVA is not under the list of billing organisations (http://www.ocbc.com/personal-bankin...ing-organizations.html?#billing-organisations) you could pay via online banking. As such, for your payment to count towards the bonus, you will have to pay via GIRO.

Do check with them directly if GIRO is an accepted mode of payment.

when does the 360 account interest comes in?

Is it at the end of the month or is it the beginning of the next month?

I met the requirement for salary, 3 bills etc. However, i do not see the interest coming in yet (now it's the beginning of june).

OCBC, please explain why the payment bonus is not credited into my bank account.

I made 3 payments to my credit card and one of the credit card payment bounced back and said it was not successful. I tried making the same credit card payment 2 more times and it was successful, hence, having a total of 3 successful credit card payment within that month.

Please explain why payment bonus was not debited into my 360 account.

Thanks for the reply. :)

OCBC - I would like to clarify in my previous query that I made 3 credit card payment in April with 1 of the credit card payment(POSB) not being successful. Eventually, I successfully paid the POSB credit card payment later in late April and that makes it a total of 3 successful credit card payments in April.

I check my bonus and notice only the salary bonus was credited in May but not the payment bonus.

Why is this so?

OCBC 360 main webpage, FIRST bullet point for payment bonus

Make 3 UNIQUE bill payments from this account with OCBC Online Banking using Pay Any Bill and Pay Any Card services or through GIRO.

Nope. The 3 credit card payments are all different banks and different credit cards. The first 2 credit card payment was successful but 3rd payment - POSB credit card payment was rejected. I successfully paid the POSB credit card payment in late April so that makes it a total of 3 different credit card payment successfully in a month (April) so why was the payment bonus not credited into my OCBC 360 account in May?

3 UNIQUE bill payments = 3 different credit card payments right? 1 of the credit card payment was rejected but I successfully paid it later in the month. Hence, shouldn't it be counted as 3 unique payments?

You sure its "reflected" as 3 bill payment on the dashboard page before the end of the month? Cause it happen to me previously that i made a purchase within the month (abt 2 days before the end of the month) but it reflected in the statement as the 1st day of next month and i did not get the interest for the spending category.

from previous experience, if the first payment failed (for whatever reasons), the subsequent payment to the same bill will not be captured by OCBC system as an eligible bill payment.

u shld write in ... nicely, to OCBC to appeal.

Yes, it happens to me too so I am puzzled and am asking a question to OCBC on this.

sometimes i really pity the banks having to deal with all kinds of ppl.. douchebags, *****, princesses.. ;)

Wow.. I am surprised by your sarcasm and not helpful with people with questions. Forums are supposed to help to ask questions and share knowledge. I'm also surprised to know that there are douchebags like you hanging around in this forum that doesn't add value to this forum at all.

I have enough of this. Not going to respond to other sarcasms that comes my way and insulting people with no ill intentions.
