If you have idle cash of 50k, you can potentially get about 1460 in interest per year for these few additional steps u do. If you really feel that this amount is not worth your effort at all, then feel free to park your money in somewhere where you can earn 10 worth of interest. There is not a need for you to come and insult others.

many of us have other forms of investments that earns us higher returns. it is also good that we hold some emergency cash such that we can fight back in case market turn against us or should we lose our jobs. this account is the best place park your emergency cash. 50k of emergency cash is not a lot of money. why not let your emergency cash also work for you?

i dont see that it requires a lot of effort.
1. salary credit is a one time process
2. paying of bills is a must if you do not want to be a bankrupt.
3. 400 expenditure is not difficult if you are using the frank or 365.

Why bother so much? when you leave this world, anyway you are not going to take anything with you...

You will not be counted for how efficiently you can live your life, but by how much difference (positive ones) you made in other peoples' life. I am sure no opportunity cost calculation can capture this!

If you have better suggestions, you can put forward. Otherwise learn from others how to improve!!

积少成多 -- save a bit here and there, it will snowball....

Just a little effort to get additional bonus -- don't see it anything wrong... Don't have to be so "sharp" ba?

Will OCBC consider both the principal and supplementary card spending on the 365 credit card for the 360 account credit card bonus interest? Also will both the card be contribute to $600 for the 365 card..

if got 3 ocbc credit cards...

use 360 to pay off....considered pay 3 bills?

Hi Keverus,

That's right! As long as it's 3 bill payments to 3 different OCBC credit cards. And not 3 bill payments to the same OCBC credit card.

Hope this clarifies!

Actually wanted to feedback.

OCBC monthly saving account(MSA), after the maturity date it will auto create another account:mad: and it will charge you for $2 for account below $1K. Lucky cso is kind to waive off, if not the interest i earn i not enough to cover.

Is there anyway to return the principal + interest to the statement account that use to deduct to the MSA.

btw i use online to create MSA

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the MSA cannot continue to be open once it matures. So the account is automatically converted to a statement savings account.

You can always request to transfer the funds to another savings account of yours. If you'd like to do so, please send us a secured email from your OCBC internet banking service. Do state your instructions & indicate the account numbers you wish to transfer to/ from.

Hi,

Internet spending like q10 and tiger airway on ocbc cc consider retail spending?

Hi there,

Are you referring to the credit card spend to earn bonus interest for your 360 account? As long as it's a charge to your card by a merchant/ store (either in-store or online), the transaction will be part of your $400 spend.

As you're purchasing something from Qoo & Tiger Airways using your ocbc credit card, the transaction will certainly be eligible.

Question:

1) Does this account eligible for Joint Account? If so, I just need either one of account holders to get company deposit the monthly salary in?

2) For the spending, does it apply to supplementary card?

Hi there,

The 360 account can definitely be opened under a single or joint-name account. And the $2,000 minimum salary requirement can be a combination from both account holders.

In addition, any spending by the supplementary will be eligible as well & will go towards the principal card holder's $400 spend requirement.

Hope this clarifies!

Hi OCBC,

"1% Cash Rebate for selected Great Eastern Life and Overseas Assurance Corporation insurance plans

Enjoy a 1% cash rebate on your premiums for selected Great Eastern Life and Overseas Assurance Corporation plans charged to your OCBC Great Eastern Cashflo Credit Card. The rebate is automatically credited into your card account and used to offset your monthly bills."

Where can we find the list of selected GE Life plans entitled to the 1% cash rebate?

If I get this card, how do we effect the change from cheque/GIRO to Cashflo card for our existing policies to earn this 1% cash rebate? Is there a form to download somewhere?

Is the GE Cashflo card the only card that offers the highest cash rebate (1%) for GE insurance premiums currently? I think there is currently no way to pay GE insurance premiums online to earn cash rebates from credit card otherwise FRANK will be a better choice offering 6%. Paying premiums using other credit card is also not possible because there is no form for it. See Great Eastern Life Singapore - Policy Servicing

Hi there,

For all 3 of your queries, you'll need to get in touch with your GE agent to find out more. There are a selected group of policies which GE allows to be paid from credit cards. And your GE agent will be providing you any forms for switching of payment accounts.

Hi there,

That's right. Any spending done by the supplementary will go towards the principal card holder's spend requirement.

So is the GE Cashflo card currently the best card for paying GE policy premiums?

Hi joanie_dan,

Your employer is not required to have an account with OCBC Bank. However, your employer will have to liase with SCB on setting up that "GIRO-SALARY" description.

Hope this clarifies!

Hi OCBC,
My coy is also using SCB and I have actually liaised with SCB side and they have already set the code to SALARY but OCBC is still recognizing it as GIRO-IBG. Some of my staff using DBS has feedback to me it states MISC-SALARY so what else can I do to show GIRO-SALARY?
