In order to close the chapter, may we invite OCBC to say a few words, such as
"Thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback seriously. We will review the suggested $500/month credit salary."

hahaha, u are late, OCBC posted liao, we won, he/she lost, hahaha, end of discussion liao, hahaha

What makes you think that retirees and even students, won't be able to fulfill the 3 bill pay? Everyone pays bills - as long as you have phone and cable and wifi, you will already pay at least 2 bills (for eg, for starhub, broadband and cable tv are bundled into one; phone is separate). And then of course there's your utility bills - you mean just because one is a retiree, one don't need to pay utilities? Who gives it to you free? The ones with the stratosphere salaries? Hell would freeze over before that happens, right?
what if i stay with my kids and do not pay utilities? what if i used pre-paid cards for my phones and watch free-to-air channels?

then i dont qualify for pay 3 bills.

then i should start to grumble that they should scrap the pay 3 bills criteria and put the 0.5% straight into the basic interest.

no matter what, if there is a criteria, there will be a cut off. there will be
people on the wrong side of the cut off. if you are on the wrong side, you can work harder to get on the correct side; or you can start to grumble and ask questions why the criteria is there.

i have two ocbc360, one uob1 and 1 scb esaver. you know how hard i work to achieve the 2000 spend a month required for all the 4 accounts? i do not grumble that they should lower their spending requirement to 200 per month so that i do not have work like sheet.

one can also get 6% rebate on all the starhub, m1 broadband bills etc and 1% rebate from SP services using specific credit cards

so it doesnt make sense to pay using ocbc360 and get nothing

In other words, you have been suckered into spending on your credit cards. I have 1 ocbc360, ocbc one bonus+, 1 dbs multi-currency and 1 posb. I don't even bother to play the game until shift here and shift there each month.

It is not a matter of work harder or not. You have to understand that some people have a main salary and other salaries that don't go into salary credit. In other words, a few jobs / other income. Some people also part-time due to child care, or semi-retired.

Yes yes. I understand. How long are you going to keep whining about it? It won't change a thing.

I counted 1500. Do u mean bonus saver instead of esaver?

Unless the spending are necessary, if not u lose more than the interest u earn but I'm sure u r aware of that. Agree it is painful to plan spending that way.

I think u r still of a different league compared to some of e ppl here...when ur monthly interest is in e range of a few K..its not about bother or cant be botherered...u just have to do it

Instead of taking a few seconds to transfer funds she would rather waste her time whining about things that can't be changed here.

Hi there Sodium99

We're sorry we took so long to reply.

The bonus interest is calculated as a multiplier of the base interest. That is why 0.55% / 0.05% = 11, therefore 11 times of the base interest.

Any base interest not credited into the account this month will be brought forward to the next month and added to next month’s base interest.

^Shereen

hi Shereen

Can you pls clarify how many decimal places is base interest calculated to ?

Thanks

it is 2k for 2/3 a/cs lah, 1.5k for uob, 500 for ocbc360, hahaha, that means I got 2.5k as 2xocbc360 are active, hahaha

I am back again since you are back again.

You stated earlier that you have ocbc360 and get the salary interest rates, which means you earn more than $2000 -- Good.

Now, since you are fighting so much for the sub $2000 salary - Lets, be frank about it: to whom do you fighting this 'losing battle' that people start to ridicule you for: your uncle, aunt, cousin, etc?

Or the ultimate leak from your statement: you have multiple jobs and that extra job earn you less than $2000?
