Hello, I feel your pain but there's no point in arguing further with OCBC since they're not going to give you bonus points on an exceptional basis.

Now that you've known the MCC, please ask the merchant to reverse the transaction and charge it to another card. Just so you know, UOB PRVI Visa is having a limited 4.4mpd promo up to $3000 spend on certain categories, and MCC 5948 is included (https://www.uob.com.sg/assets/pdfs/uob-prvi-miles-visa-promo-tncs.pdf), so you don't have to split the purchase over so many cards.

MCC is determined by the merchant and the card associations, and is not within the bank's control.

Thanks for the reply! Is there a more direct number I could call to check on the MCC of a previous transaction in that case? I recall calling in the past to check MCC which was quite some time on hold and being redirected around.

Please note that bonus OCBC$ will only be granted for transactions that falls under the eligible MCC listing, and list of merchants as shown in the T&Cs.

MCCs are not under the control of OCBC, and we won't be able to advise beforehand if a transaction is eligible for bonus OCBC$.

Do note that the OCBC$ reset is based on the opening date of when your card was first issued. In order for us to accurately advise you on this, can we arrange for a call to you?

Can this Titanium Rewards card be used to purchase from Courts online and use the interest-free instalments plan?

Tried to order aircon system from Courts online and choose the 36mth interest-free instalment plan by OCBC but payment unable to go through. Pls advise, thanks
