Hi OCBC, I have made few transaction to fave.com in Oct and Nov 2017. Jus called our CSO n was told that I m not rewarded with the 10x reward beacuse it's registered until Beauty and Health product. Pls confirm as I saw in one of our thread in Oct 2017 that said fave.com is eligible for 10x reward.

Hi 1renatan,

For websites like Qoo 10, Lazada and FAVE, only transactions in the eligible categories such as Electronic and Clothings will be awarded 10X OCBC$.

We have done a review on Fave and it would appear that their nature of business typically falls under lifestyle and services-related categories. Examples of their offers are spas, travel packages and group deals.

Moving forward, we are unable to award 10X OCBC on Fave transactions.

But in the meantime, as you have made your Fave transactions prior to our review, we would like to honor it.

Please PM us your contact number and we will call to assist further.

Hi All,

10X OCBC $ is given for transactions made at merchants under the eligible categories and categories.

Fave (formerly Groupon) was previously awarded 10X OCBC$.

We have since done a review on Fave and it appears that the predominant nature of their business does not fall under any of the eligible categories, and will not be given 10X OCBC$ moving forward.

Thank you.

Unfortunately this is a "no pain no gain" credit card. Since the MCC is not a very “sure” thing, the only sure thing is to use Mobile Payment (Samsung Pay, Apple Pay…). Well, the good thing is, if you have valid reason, OCBC is willing to review it and most likely you will still get your bonus points back. I purchased from Isetan Parkway Parade few months back, because the MCC is under “supermarket” so not entitled for the bonus. After reviewed by OCBC, I finally got my bonus point.

Lesson learned, so I tried to use Samsung Pay as far as accepted, so far no issue at all.

To be smart, I also “ask” first before spend. After confirmed by OCBC here, Canon Singapore is entitled for the bonus points, I placed an order to Canon on 30 Oct. Bonus points suppose to be in on 30 Nov but not. Call OCBC, Canon not entitled for Bonus Points because MCC = “Camera Shop”. After the “MCC Shock”, the only word I can think of is the one with 4 letters and start with “F”. What to do? Review again lorr… hopefully can get my bonus points soon…

Still have 3 more non-Samsung Pay transactions (1 x Courts, 1 x Best Denki, 1 x Uniqlo) in Nov. Well, seems quite straight forwards right? - honestly, after the Isetan and Canon incident, I am no longer so sure. Guess I will only know the result by 31 Dec 2017. Hopefully no more "MCC Shock"!

First time use a credit card till so tired!

I totally agree with you. I had the same problem with my Mustafa purchase. Called the OCBC and the CSO confirmed that Mustafa is eligible for 10x reward. So I happily went shopping only to find out that Mustafa is not eligible.

lol bought in Samsung shop that called Samsung Experience store in Chinatown point and also mentioned in Samsung website. Later OCBC said it is not registered "official Samsung Store" and not entitled to get 9x. lucky they adjusted manually...

Does the OCBC Titanium Rewards card require to spend a certain amount to get the OCBC$?

Example: $1 spend on contactless payment, am I still eligible for the rewards?
