Bonus OCBC$ is awarded based on the MCC of the merchant you are purchasing from. If the merchant you are purchasing from at Sim Lim Square and their acquiring bank have categorised their MCC as one of those shown in the T&Cs, it will be eligible for 10X OCBC$.

Do note that if the merchant’s main business is selling of hardware and computer parts, it will not be eligible for 10X OCBC$.

Is a camera purchase the exception?

T K Foto’s MCC is not eligible for 10X OCBC$, but as an exception, we will be granting the additional OCBC$ if a purchase is made in the relevant categories.
The OCBC$ will not be awarded automatically, and cardholders will have to get in touch with us after the transaction is made.

As for Fujifilm, at the moment, we are not able to ascertain the MCC.
If the MCC is eligible, all transactions will be automatically granted 10X OCBC$. However, if it’s not, like T K Foto, we will be granting the additional OCBC$ on an exceptional basis.

After feedback from our cardmembers, we have added merchants such as IKEA, LAZADA, AMAZON amongst others to be automatically granted 10X OCBC$ for all purchases made, even though the MCC is not eligible.

As much as we would like to accede to all requests, we are unfortunately unable to do so.

Elendil5259, for your computer monitor purchase at Sim Lim Square, could you provide us with the merchant name for our review?
