Hi Trazora,

From what we understand, purchases on ezbuy may have different MCCs depending on the merchants transacted with.

^WX
Hi OCBC,

Please recheck. Ezbuy is not like Qoo10. You deposit money to Ezbuy and they buy on your behalf. So I can't see why their MCC code will change. Can you please check and reconfirm? Thanks.

so inapp purchases and app purchases for apple apps will also count? how abt google play store?

Hi AMD_FREAK,

As you may be aware, we have recently conducted a review on Apple Singapore Store and will be awarding Apple Singapore transactions with 10X OCBC$ . As such, we are pleased to share that this extends to Apple USA store transactions.

A reseller in the USA may not have the nature of business classified as electronics/gadgets, thus we are unable to advise if they give 10X OCBC$.

If however a purchase has been made at a reseller, feel free to PM us and we will look into this.

Is OG considered for 10X rewards ?

Is there a website where we can see that we are awarded with 10X points ?

Hi zIpdIsK,

OG should give 10X OCBC$ as it is a departmental store. If you had made a transaction at OG but was not awarded 10X OCBC$, do PM us and we’ll look into it.

We do not have such a website as there are too many merchants, both online and offline, and locally and overseas.

By and large, 10X OCBC$ is given if transactions are made at merchants that classify themselves under the eligible categories. You can refer to our website for a list of common eligible merchants and categories at https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/cards/titaniumrewards-mastercard.html

If you have made a transaction at but was not awarded 10X even though it appears that the merchant should be under one of the eligible categories, do let us know too and we will conduct a review on this.

What I meant was a website to see a breakdown of our points earned on our card ...

Hmm. Thought payment is made to EZbuy itself?

Hi Inix and Trazora,

Thank you both for raising this point.

We are awarding 10X OCBC$ for Ezbuy transactions under the eligible categories.

Hi vince123123,

App purchases via Apple’s App Store, Google Play Store and in-app purchases will not grant 10X OCBC$.

Guardian

Dear OCBC

I'm confused with your T&Cs regarding payments made at drug stores and pharmacies.

In it, it clearly states that cardmembers will earn 10 OCBC$ from 17 October 2016 to 31 December 2018 at Merchant Code 5912: Drug Stores and Pharmacies.

It is then immediately followed by the following clause:
Payments made through Mobile Payments (Apple Pay, etc) will be rewarded 10 OCBC$ but will exclude the following:
- Transactions made at Merchant Code 5912: Drug Stores and Pharmacies

So, based on the 2 clauses, is it correct to assume that for payments made at Drug Stores and Pharmacies, I cannot use Apply Pay but must instead ask cashier to insert/swipe credit card into terminal?

Also, can you help confirm if Guardian is registered under merchant code 5912: Drug Stores and Pharmacies?

It just means the transaction get only 10x points for being under the mcc 5912 (do not matter using card or mobile), and there is no additional 10x (on top of the 10x points for mcc 5912) if use mobile.

Hi OCBC,

I have a concern with the categorization as it seems I am having issues almost every month. I was not credited 10x points for Qoo10 and Guardian and the CSO insisted both do not fall under any of the qualifying categories.

I had made purchase in Guardian previously and was awarded 10x as it is under Personal Care.

Would appreciate your comments on this.

Thanks

Hi slytzen,

Purchases made at Guardian will be awarded 10X OCBC$. If you did not receive the bonus OCBC$ by the end of the following month (following posted date), please drop us a PM with your contact details.

Till December 2018, customers will be able to earn 10X OCBC$ when making purchases at Drug Stores and Pharmacies, and when paying via mobile payments. However, do note that if you do shop at Drug Stores and Pharmacies and pay via mobile payments, you will only get 10X OCBC$ and not 20X.

Do let us know if you require further clarification.

Hi czheyuan,

With regards to Qoo10 and Guardian, we have taken in your feedback and shared it with the relevant product team for them to be added into our 10X OCBC$ merchants for eligible categories.

If you have however made an eligible purchase (say Electronics) via Q0010 and was not awarded, please free to PM or call us and we’ll certainly be glad to award the 10X OCBC$

That's nice but cannot help wondering why Qoo10 is just added to the list when it should have been eligible for 10x points early based on your post 1 month ago. http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/110139137-post409.html

Suggest u do a check to make sure all the merchants confirmed are included in the list.

Agreed. However, the good experience was only with those managing the OCBC communications in HWZ. While those CSO on hotline was relatively friendly, they do not seem to be aware of the card benefits and qualifying merchants.

With my call made 2 days ago, the CSO did not even know Personal Care was a qualifying category and insisted it was never a qualifying category hence resulting in Guardian transaction not being awarded 10x. I had to explain to her instead and this is still a follow-up case as of now.

Hi WX,

Thanks for the response.

I have already called two weeks back and the CSO called back last wednesday to say the Qoo10 purchase would be credited within 3 working days but it was not done. Similarly, I made a call two days ago on Guardian transaction not being awarded 10x and they are still checking if it is qualifying. Hope this gets resolved. You may PM me instead.

Thanks!
