SINGAPORE: Veteran actor Ekin Cheng, singer-actress Karen Mok and Mandopop trio S.H.E.’s Ella Chen will be among the many overseas artistes who will be presenting awards at the Star Awards 2015 Show 2 on Apr 26, said organisers on Friday (Apr 10).

The annual Star Awards celebrates the most outstanding talents in local Mandarin television. This year’s Star Awards is the last edition of the glitzy awards show to be held at MediaCorp's Caldecott Broadcast Centre, the site of the very first Star Awards held in 1994, to celebrate "where it all began".

The Star Awards Show 1, which recognises the best production talents in the local Mandarin television industry and crowns the winners of the Favourites award categories, will be telecast live from the MediaCorp Television Theatre from 7pm on Apr 19 on Channel 8.

The Walk of Fame red carpet segment, and the Star Awards 2015 Show 2 - where the awards in the performance categories will be given out - as well as the Post-show Party, will be telecast live from the same venue from 5pm on Apr 26 on Channel 8. Viewers will be treated to a visual tour of MediaCorp during the live shows.

Member of Parliament Mr Baey Yam Keng will be the Guest-of-honour for the Star Awards 2015 Show 1, while Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien will be the Guest-of-honour for Show 2.
