Stemcell is right. Price is not really my concern. Just that I prefer to buy apple product when it first launched which at least I can enjoy the current product to its maximum time before the next one is out. It will be upset if one bought something now less than few months the new one is out. Apple product refresh not so fast to the extend of 6 months time but instead from at least 9 months to 1 yr at least. Now it is approaching this cycle.

I had gotten my mid-2015 MBP with retina display 15-inch now. The 12-inch is more of the secondary device to me as my 15-inch is too heavy to carry around. (I regretted not to get 13-inch instead)

Previously having a mbp 15" too. Yes it's powerful and big beautiful screen. But after gettin a SG rMB. No regrets. Beautiful screen and un un un believable weight distribution. It really become a portable device at home and out of home, on the plane, on a staycation, by the pool. Loving it every moment.
The heavy work can be left to the iMac to do it job.

yeah, that's why i love the rMBP too. will definitely get one for secondary machine.

am thinking maybe it is good to get it from changi airport apple shop too. can save the GST. plus the machine is so thin and light, should not get taxed so easily too.

I just got the 512 version as secondary laptop for daily carry and traveling. Im using it most for email (MS Office 2016), browsing (Chrome), remote desktop (LogMeIn Rescue), Parallels (Windows 8)

I'm still on Yosemite as some of my work application is not yet compatible with El Capitan.

Installed Steam and had no issue playing CS: GO for an hour. I also installed League of Legends NA, only had one issue which is not related to the laptop since the server si in US ping is always at 200+ that's it keeps lagging so I decided to uninstall it.

Installed Bluestack and played some android games with no issue.

I also tried playing Starcraft LOTV so far so good.

I'm charging my macbook using my 5 port desktop charger for my mobile phone and tablet, I just bought a S$19 USB to USB-C Cable, with this cable I can also charge my macbook using my 20k mAh powerbank charging is on the slow slide even on 2.1 output but its better than nothing for emergency cases that I need to access my mac.

For Extra ports I have the Juiced adapter which I used for my Microsoft Surface Pro 3, it comes with 2 usb 3.0 SD and Micro SD card reader. there's a USB-C version.

How much u bought the 512GB version the price is steep from 256GB to 512GB which the price difference is sgd500+ given that it is only 256GB extra and 1.1GHz to 1.2GHz.
