I said not a big diff.

Most adaptors allowed c type charging port.

it is not because of the function, it is known that usb-c can used for power, input/output and display. but having extra ports reduce the frequency to plug in and out the adapters on the same port.

a dedicated power connector is always handy especially with magsafe 2.

it is due for upgrade anytime soon for the new gen of processors. And I am sure that 2nd gen will get a lot of improvement over this first gen one too. :D

Apple will only update to a new processor and faster NAND Flash speed. Don't expect to see a new design or an additional USB-C port.

I am not expecting any new design in fact the current design is more than good enough. As now it has been more than 7 months since launched and I am buying this as a secondary laptop so I would prefer to wait till the new upgrade before purchase.

Given apple's style, no one will really know exactly what apple will do until the very last minute. Same goes to the surprise that apple can come out such a slim laptop that even beats the previously known slim MacBook Air.

Regardless it is better camera (720p), extra port or just purely upgrade of new gen processor. It is worth the wait still. At least I would prefer to get the apple product at it first launch so I can enjoy the most for its lifespan.

There always something new every 6 months. Never ending.the wait is always forever. if you have the comfort of the financial and you need it just get it. Simple.

endless chasing route for tech stuff.

i think 6600 is okie with the price , just that he's more comfortable to wait for the latest model.

I think the next processor will be skylake , which i doubt there is any significant upgrade. Unless it can view 4K video on youtube.

Right now, I have problem with it. Thou not necessary.

Was deciding between macbook n mackbook pro retina. Ended up with macbook pro retina instead. cos of big screen n graphics performance. But really loved slimness of macbook n the usb-c which you can use a XM power bank to charge it to full.

XM powerbank can't charge my MacBook 12 though. Only some power banks work.

Stemcell is right. Price is not really my concern. Just that I prefer to buy apple product when it first launched which at least I can enjoy the current product to its maximum time before the next one is out. It will be upset if one bought something now less than few months the new one is out. Apple product refresh not so fast to the extend of 6 months time but instead from at least 9 months to 1 yr at least. Now it is approaching this cycle.

I had gotten my mid-2015 MBP with retina display 15-inch now. The 12-inch is more of the secondary device to me as my 15-inch is too heavy to carry around. (I regretted not to get 13-inch instead)
