This time round, 3Dmark goes NVidia's way. ATi has won enough in mid range cards at 3D05. If benchmarking tempts me enough, time to go NVidia again. :) But see how games favor in 06.

well to say almost all good X800 cards beat 6800GT, Ultra hands down on 3D05 and now 3D06 makes X800 cards feel shy again. I'm not satisfied by 3D06 as my cpu is made to cough up 0 FPS at some times and aborting during CPU test makes me unable to get result. :(

I quitted during CPU tests. SM score 974. My 3D mark score should be like 2k. X800GTO, this time round, i miss my 6800 Ultra.

seriously this time round, futuremark sux. how can nvidia cards get so much higher scores than the ATI cards when they perform about the same in games....at least 05 only give a small advantage to ATI....this 06 is..... :s22:

I notice that ATI SM3 lost out to Nvidia by quite a bit....hmm...maybe 6.2 will solve this....

I think u should save your effort and change your board n gfx to pcie
It would be a more worth buy. Going to 7800GS AGP is fine, but it will not have much resale value when u want to see.

Erm....thats your thinking, not mine, if everyone follows the same thinking as you, thats it, end of singapore :s13:

Anyway, since there is a new agp card for me, why not, since crossing over to pci-e means i have to change everything, even tot, i do have plan to jump to pci-e if someone offer a considerable price for my board and card.

But now since 7800GS agp is here, i might as well stay agp. U never know what happen in the future, is AM2 the last socket? I dun think so....since i only use X800XTPE for surfing and watching DVD, a agp setup is just fine with me.
