Probably better for you to try to dismantle it yourself... I've done it a few times before to change the hard disk drive. It's quite easy. Just gotta be careful of the clips that snaps the bezel into place.

Hi, also owned an ASUS EEE PC netbook 1215b. I know this netbook is so old already. Anyone can recommend where to bring to replace the CMOS battery for this netbook?

Currently, my one can only power up via adapter, but black screen without any startup screen at first. Need to unplug power and press power button for more than 30 secs and repeat the steps for a few times before the netbook will show startup page to windows and still work as good. The time and date shown in the netbook's clock are also not correct. So I suspect is the dead CMOS battery causing the startup issue and inaccurate PC time/date as well. Thanks!

It can be challenging to access the motherboard inside.
If you are not confident can bring to a repair shop and let them do it.
