fm 2011 works fine! i game with 3 leagues sleague, indo n malaysia.. choose tsmpines rovers

FM works since its mainly text based with low-end graphics...
But FIFA 12 is barely playable... Quite lag

A big welcome to all the new users... Remember to check out techidiots guide on how to update AMD patches ^.^

1215B can put up to 8GB but check out my blog for the specific type of ram to buy
Thankss..

I just nap a 1215B e450 + 2GB+ 4GB(add $20) and free ext. drive from newstead at funan - $619(i opt for the 4GB ram upgrade thus more ex)

...just got home.. anyway.. initial feel of this baby...

no touchpad problems.. no extremely lousy depression between the FGH keys... it is same as my other netbook if not better.

Seems like Asus do look at reviews about the older 1215b before renewing this..

I wanna check if it's cheaper to get it from sitex it fair? Or still better to get from Funan and SLS? now e450 available at every places or only some particular shops? And which shop gives cheaper offer? P.A Mart or newstead or microware?

hard to say..

because we don't how will they slash the price on the last day of sitex.

for me.. I live in Jurong.. lazy to go expo... so just buy from funan... Scour thru the whole funan and that newstead give me the best option... i don't want and rubbish and i wish to have an additional 4GB ram to make 6Gb.

i probably didn't get the best and cheapest deal but i am sure a happy user now.

:)

from my past IT fair experiences... these vendors will usually extend their so-called IT fair promos to their shops at Funan and Sim Lim Square..
but will need to ask...I usually avoid the crowd and go an after the IT fair, cuz they will extend the promos for another few weeks...

the motherboard which Asus is using for 1215B only accepts that particular specs for 8GB..

basically, on the exterior there is not much difference between 1215B (e-350) and 1215B (e-450)

but of cuz the speed is slightly faster... now I only hope my BF3 D/L will faster finish so that I can give it a go :s12:

I was wondering whether is 8Gb ram overkill? very tempting to get 8Gb ram when i get the netbook. But the highest i have seen in this thread is 6Gb, which is only you, never seen anyone saying they have upgraded their's to 8Gb Ram.

overkilled? i dunno..

my quad core desktop... initially has only 4GB.. also using win7 home premium..

..after a year of use.. and a change of surfing habit(i open alot of tabs) ...everything slow down until i upgrade to 8gb...

...Basically if you open alot of things... i.e. multitask... it will takes alot of mem to run those in the background.

well... i want a slice of 4GB in my 1215b because should one day I need to change ram.. i just remove the 2GB and pump in another 4GB to make 8GB...

i don't know about fella 1215b with 2+2GB but i am happy with 6GB.

mine is 4GB...alrdy satisfied with it... able to play full HD video plus multiple chrome tabs at the same time with minimum lag...

also able to run PS and microsoft video editor smoothly.. so no point adding 8GB.. since i am not gonna run any professional resource intensive programs on 1215B

8GB is simply overkill especially if u're using just for work.
If gaming or other intensive work, more the merrier. :s13:

Ya man. I'm using 8gb ram on my desktop and it's definitely needed cos i was playing Company of Heroes with 4gb ram and it always used up to like 98% ram and the loading bar would be stuck and slowly i think it's releasing ram to make way for the game i guess then the game would load. Then after i bought 4gb more the game loaded at one go :D. Now even normal usage, my ram would be used about 40-45% which is like 3.2gb-3.6gb and loading any games would take it over 50% for sure.

One thing to take note for games on AMD E/A series mobile platform
is that the intergraded radeon graphic share ram with the main system ram.
So if u're gaming best to get more ram, cuz not only the system is
using the ram but the graphic card also.

Like ur case is pretty shocking at Company of Heroes takes up so much ram,
mainly cuz both system and graphic had to share 3.2gb-3.6gb of ram depending on the load.
