UX31-i7, Sandisk U100 SSD disk. Bought before christmas (Sweden). Had problems copying large files from USB where speed drops dramatically after a couple of gigabytes.

Anyone know of a SSD testing tool working for the U100 drive? ASUS support asked me to look at Google, didnt even want to tell me what drive to search for. Really lame.

Just love the lightweight and look, but keyboard, SSD lottery and support is way bad.

SD/MMC slot problem

Hi, can anyone with a UX31 tell me if it is possible to insert a normal-sized SD card (32 x 24mm) into the UX31 SD slot fully (such that the bottom end of the SD card is flushed with the UX31 body)? I am asking because I can only fit my SD card halfway in (if I use any more force I am afraid it might break the SD card)?? However the SD card still gets detected and I can copy files from the SD card to the desktop.

Is my SD card slot defective?

Does anyone know if a MMC (or mini-MMC/SD) can fit into the UX31's SD slot fully?

Noticed when using wireless connection, connection got cut off every now and then. Gotta log out and and log in again but after a few tries, it got disconnected again. Anyone encounter such problem?

I did eaier but have fine tune it. Now no more issue

I believe you have updated the latest driver for Wireless

Now go and unistall the Wireless Console 3 utility as pre install by ASUS.

You can physically toggle the Wirelsss On/OFF via the physical "FN"key

Hi guys, excuse my noob-ness!! I have made recovery ISOs (2 ISOs) using Asus AI Recovery. How do I use the ISOs to restore my laptop?

Also, is it possible to restore using a USB drive? What are the steps involved?

SD card only half in is normal. Same as mine. Dun know MMC as i dun hv.

have you tried going to the Advance power settings? Under wireless adapter chose max performance for all plans if u switch plans frequently. If not just change your current plan setting.

First impressions, goddamned its pretty. and really not much bloatware to remove.

How will this series fare? If not which models do you recommend?

Anyone buy a additional Power adaptor charger for your UX31?

My common practice is put one at home and put one in the office for charging.

So need not to bring along charger when I go out
