They got it sorted out their end after all! Did not have to do any thing further after livechat took over and checked my tracert + netstat.

Didn't pay any attention and just tried logging in without VPN, now sweet swwwwwweeettt Green all across the board with 30-40ms HK servers!

Finally can skip VPN and nasty packet loss. Game on!

I only spoke to the customer service officer once this morning and before I could provide them with a screenshot and copy of my ping and tracert and netstat, the latency issue has been fixed. Maybe Singtel had the initiative to do something about it first.

Wonderful. In any case, keep your VPN because it's the best test as VPN bypasses ISPs routing. I keep a VPN handy to test ping to other places, if VPN ping is lower than an ISP's ping to the same IP, then you can definitely be sure that the ISP can optimize their routing to match the VPN ping.

I use a few free ones cos some of the servers need to pay. So I just log in to ping. One of them I use is Windscribe or something. Got HK VPN so I used that to test initially.
