in terms of daily profitability,Dogecoin is the way to go since its exchange rate is much high, you can exchange dogecoin for litecoins and get much more litecoins than mining litecoin's exclusively.

Litecoin however is quoted by many to be the silver to Bitcoin's coin and their prices go hand in hand,if one goes up,the other is sure to follow.

While we're at it,why not we share our mining rig set ups and share which is most flexible and provide best airflow :)

I'm just using my newly upgraded home PC (see sig) with a newly hooted 280X GPU. Just been trying to mine over the weekend.

I tried litecoin first and got only 0.2LTC over something like 24-36 hours.

Now just trying dogecoin... I have no idea how you can get 60000 in 24 hours!

I'm having cooling problems though..... need to open side panel cos the heat was building up inside and getting too hot to touch.... Thinking of upgrading case or buy 2 additional fans for intake and exhaust.

CoinWarz - Crypto Currency Mining Profitability - Bitcoin & Litecoin Mining Calculator - SHA-256 Hash Rate 1,000.00 MH/s - Scrypt Hash Rate 740.00 KH/s

Well at your current rate and i guess 600w power usage, you can get a good 4000 dogecoins per day.

I used to get about 90000 per day but due to the increased difficulty,i only get 30000 but its still better than just mining litecoin.

In terms of ventilation, its really not recommended to mine with your daily use rig unless you watercool it or have it near a window or something, heat is going to build up and its going to get uncomfortable.Thats why now i have this.

Wow! thats some serious mining equipment. many hashes! much coins! wow!

lol! At the most I will go is to get another 280x and mine together. Maybe I bring a rig to work and mine there...

Which pool are you using? Does it matter which pool? I'm on rapidhash now and gotten about 100 coins the last 6 hours - which is right by your estimate of 4000 in 24 hours. Will yours be better? I'm getting variable hash rate of 640 now but 500+ earlier. Funny thing when I mine litecoin, I was getting >700.

I find some pools more stable than others.I am currently using https://doge.nut2pools.com

Mind sharing your settings so you can fine tune it to its best

nut2pool charge 1.5% fee right.... rapidhash is 1% but not sure about speed/stability.

I'm using default guiminer settings for 280x:
Tread 8192
worksize 256
vectors 1
intense 13
gpu 2
and using stratum.

Tried increasing intensity but seems to slow hashrate for LTC

bro gotta start using cgminer hehe.Guiminer pretty basic and you can't control alot of things, like engine clock, fan, voltage etc...

Inside your guiminer folder should have a cgminer folder.Create a .bat file and launch from the .bat file

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://dogus.nut2pools.com:5585 -u duinchaileen.1 -p x -g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8192

Copy everything and just change your username and password. So after the -u ( Your worker ) and after -p ( your password )

Yah I guess will start to try to learn it. Just trying to find out good cases for thermal control.... any ideas? I'm thinking Corsair:

Carbide 500R or 540D
Obsidian 550D

All around same price. Good looks with ?good thermals.

So you create a batch file for each pool?

I will try that and report back!

What hash you getting for your 280x?

As i said, mining in a closed case is a bad bad idea.Either permanently open up the side panels and blow a fan in or run a barebones system with no case.

well the rack of 7850s and 6970s are running from 70ish to 80ish and my main comp with 2 280x are watercooled at 50ish.

Current amd cards are rated to run at high temps up to 92degrees but you don't want to be Anyway near that unless you want your card to die real fast.

Weigh the pros and Cons of mining. Can you afford the extra electricity bills and can you actually cash out when needed.

Does hash rate = amount of shares = no of coins?

Just comparing between pools and seems although hash rate is similar, one pool gives more than the other.
