to mine or not to mine.. the money spent on hardware + electricity + time spent is it worth it?? :(:(

If you have free/discounted electric then by all mean go. If not then u must list all the opportunity cost and decide yourself.

How is Digibyte

To know whether a certain coin is worth it or not,a good indicator is go to reddit and see what's the developments there. The more subscribers or activities they have, the more likelihood it'll be worth mining.

Fastcoin for example,it's been around for a while but if you go to reddit, barely any discussions.

A coin is only valuable if people support it

I will repeat this until i die.A coin is only be valuable if it is supported by people ,used widely or its name is made known in whatever media.Currently dogecoin has a community of 60000 and climbing, most of which are doing what they can to promote dogecoin like donating dogecoins to charities, sending a team to the winter olympics, paying and supporting small retailers with dogecoins etc.

You have to do your research and don't just mine whichever is profitable at the MOMENT because cryptocurrency is for the LONG TERM.

Unless you have the ability to mine thousands of dollars worth of coins and encashing it every month.Doing coin jumping is not going to benefits anyone.

And these price hikes and drops are manipulated by certain unscrupulous individuals like wolong to have massive gains for themselves while ripping others off by pumping and dumping massive amounts of coins.

I completely agree with u bro. Over the long term, I'm very happy to support dogecoin. I've spent some time in the various forums and the community is good.
However, my immediate goal is to recoup the cost of my rig. I'm not aiming for much but just happy to get my cost back... then can go on mining and supporting the coin.

As a side question, how do you cash out your coins? Into paypal?
