Hmm i see. What does -C mean and-m mean on the mine bat?

im using T12X20 up from T12X11 originally. 100+hashrate increase so far but i dont want to strain my gpu in terms on lifetime as its my only one for gaming. Until maxwell that is..:s13:
Not too sure about those 2 settings, tho something I read about them is that theres no significant increase in hashrate even if u change them.

Get a new 280X card if u wanna save ur 780 :)

Or u could just revert back to the settings where u got ur 350+ khs and 65 deg C for better lifespan

Not telling you to watercooling your entire system hehe. Just get the kraken g10 plus those cheap all in one coolers. Shouldn't cost you more than 150

Even if i could i also dont know how to replace the cooler. Im tempted to look at the accelero xtreme iii but OOS and dont know how to install/ replace the stock cooler.

Installing =void warranty right? :(

the T12X20 seems like the sweet spot to mine.. 440 HR at 64 degrees. 1 degree cooler than if i had done at 12x11.

but will see what i can experiment with tomorrow.

Of course it's spinning like crazy. It's working like crazy hehe. Check your heat. Intensity is kinda low. What hash are you getting? From what I know. 7970s like g1 better with high thread Concurrency

Thanks for the advice. Will try it with g1. temps are at 74deg right now.

Dont have to worry about the fan noise, i would be more concerned with the temperature of the 7970 if i were u. If theres a need, u could run a usb fan directed at the gpu and that might help decrease the temps by around 1 or 2 degrees.

Also, tweaking the engine and memclock of ur 7970 could help improve hashrates.

My 2cents ^^

tried it at higher intensity with fans running at 100%. temps hitting 83 to 85deg. hahaha. got scared of the temps.

such send... very coins... just sent :D

so far I only received 1 sent from HWZ :o

thank you!

Its not advisable to run at 100% for ur fans. Just one of the many ways u could be shortening ur gpu lifespan. I also do find that beyond 80%, there's little to no improvement in the temps.

I believe ur running such high temps cuz of restricted airflow to ur gpu. There are 2 ways u can go about reducing the temps:

1. Get a riser and run ur gpu out of the casing
2. Remove the side panels of ur casing, this will reduce entrapment of heat inside the casing

I just added a different GPU to my mining rig, so trying to configure them individually with cgminer using separate batch files.

I believe using 'device' command will be enough to specify individual cards. So

batch file for gpu 0 will have d 0 inside
batch file for gpu 1 will have d 1 inside
batch file for gpu 2 will have d 2inside
and so on.....correct?

So what is the 'gpu-platform' command for ?

Much Thanks

Use the --gpu-platform and --device commands to tie any particular cgminer command to a particular card

wow

wow

I mean in the command line

D 0 refers to device 1 in the system
D 1 refers to device 2 in the system

What's the purpose of having gpu-platform ? It seems to be redundant, that having "D" is enough to specify devices

vapor-x cooling system is better. i just heard to go for that or GB cos both cooling is good.

i bought for $475 x 3 at level 4 shop. can't remember which name. it's in the middle though, not corner shops.
