Just realised that design for HDB 2-room BTO flats has changed. There is now a partition wall in the bedroom area. Can I tear it down? Please advise.

If it is 2 room 99 years leasehold. You can hack it since it is not structural wall.
If it is short lease. You have to apply for approval for hacking. Likely not going to be approval. Even if approval, will need to reinstate back.

The resale 4 room hdb units that just MOP are selling at more than $600k and they are far away from MRT.
You still want to hope for previous BTO price.
Tis one very near wld MRT..best location..when mop in 2033, definitely 900k abv or even breach 1m.. price tag now only ard 450k

People might think $1mil price tag is ridiculous.
But is inevitable, It will happen.
Since 1990 till now (24 years), the annualized compound rate is 2.44%. Use this and apply it to current price.
In 10-15 years time, more and more 5 room HDB will start to sell near and above $1m and these are just very normal 5 room HDB in non mature estate.

I booked a 2 room type 2 in another estate last year and it's the same.

2 rm type 2 with an additional multipurpose room.

The display showflats in HDB Hub also showcase 2 room type 2 with an additional multipurpose room.

He is referring to 2 room type 2 layout that the living room and bedroom are side by side that is separated by a sliding door. The living room window wall is levelled with the bedroom window wall.

This is my floor plan about 8 years ago.

Oops, I am not referring to the partition wall that separates the living room and bedroom.

All hacking of walls need HDB’s approval, regardless of flat type or type of walls

Does the plus , prime and standard kick in for this round of bto?

If so those 10 year minimum occupance might be one of the reasons why some area are low in number of ballot...

I find this round’s 2 rm flexi quite bad with that zig zagged wall in between.

This is the layout of the one i applied last year and it’s so much more uniform. Has 1sqm more internal floor area overall too.
