From this news about number of BTOs unit will be launch in the coming years, it is tapering down. We can see that the Gov intention to balance and support gradual price appreciation.

Don't fight the gov and think that price will crash etc. Go with the flow.

If we think it, reducing from 4 BTOs launches to 3 launches per year. This is another way to filter genuine/non genuine applicants an encourage applicants to book unit when being invited for booking. Because once they miss it, it will be a long wait.
Secondly, it will reduce the number of same applicants for applying different BTO at different BTO launches. Thus reducing application rate.

What i'm trying to say is, our gov goal is to support the property price. Gov would like the price to be appreciating gradually, at a moderate pace, a steady pace (in the best case scenario). This is inline with what they are advocating, appreciating our assets that can be unlock for our retirement.

so expensive especially in the PLH areas even after so called subsidies, might as well sell land to pte developers, then no more HDB BTOs, more voters vote them out.

Hi guys, would like to know if there is any way to monitor the remaining selection of flats for BTO? I applied for the Oct 2023 Rail green BTO but only looking at 3 Gen flat.

my queue is so high that the application is unsuccessful but there’s a disclaimer saying they will monitor the balance of 3 Gen flats and update me if there is any for me to select. I tried emailing them to get updates but till now no replies, only automated ones.

so will there be any way for me to find out the remaining 3 Gen flats available?

Humans tend to focus on what they like to see. Did mr desmond say he wants gradual price appreciation. HDB supply tapering down, yes, but still higher than pre-pandemic. And did you see the number of flats and condos completed?
