Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

I was able to connect to my router via MAC filtering. After turning on the MAC filtering my Note pro was able to detect the 5ghz band.

Tried to turn off the MAC filtering to see if the note pro can still connect, fortunately it can still connect to the 5ghz band.

I guess all i needed to do was to "wake up" the 5ghz frequency in my note pro.

that's the problem with kitkat.


I just disable "scanning always available", seems to solved my problem.

no luck with wifi saving mode off.

I had the problem initially. Detected after turning on bluetooth.

Sianzzzz...just got it yesterday....Also showed "Custom" instead of "Official" under device status.

Need to bring to Samsung to formally lodge this "defect" if not warranty void

On my device, the "Device status" is shown as "Official" not "Custom".

Noticed the "SE for Android status" on mine is shown as:

"Enforcing
SEPF _SM-P905_4.4.2_0004" whereas in the above it is "...006".

All other information are the same as above. Has this got anything to do with the status?

I'm getting a strange problem with my microSD card.

When trying to save to the microSD card after editing a word document (originally on the card), I get this error:
"No write access"

On another app (Perfect Viewer), when I try to delete a file from within the app, I get "Failed to delete file".

However, File Manager HD works file in deleting the files.

Note that this was an old MicroSD card that I've been using for couple of months. Worked fine with Samsung Note 10.1 (2014) which was on Android 4.3 - can edit, can delete files.

I read on internet that some folks with Notes 3 had the same problem on Kitkat 4.4. Anyone else got this problem?

I ordered a TPU case and screen protector from qoo10.
But the screen protector has "lag" when using the S Pen...
Waiting for other company to start selling, hoping for a Tempered Glass screen.

Good to know, thanks! I'm getting this issue with Hancom, trying to edit a word document. It's weird that Hancom was bundled but they did not know there was such an issue, though.
