I don't have the above mentioned issues, maybe u can try to update the video card drivers etc, i skipped the window auto install after plugged in tv stick, and install drivers from the CD.

Got my T230 many months back but did not manage to receive a single channel. Staying near Tiong Bahru so no indoor digital yet. Prob hv to wait till year end to try again :sad:

Hmm how many months ago was that? Reason i ask is in the worst case scenario you bought a version that was not v1.3.1 DVB-T2 compliant fit for use in SG but can fall back on DVB-C as others have stated loh

Today.. it became worse.. i moved htpc to hall already..
No channels found with provided antenna.. both WMC & NPVR
I put my antenna in window frame itself.. :(

With SCV point cable, i can still get 170+ channels (most are encrypted, with some radio inclusive) in both WMC & npvr.

But I cannot get Channel 5 HD at all :(, only SD available.
Other problems i face...

1. Super sports arena ,plays fine in WMC & NPVR, when opened from kodi, always buffering..
2. NO EPG update for Suria, CH8,Okto, Vas, CNA even after update EMG on NPVR. WMC also same case.
3. No more choppy scrambled video, but Suria, plays-buffers-plays-buffers- this cycle for every couple of seconds..

any advice & suggestions?

My antenna position.

Channel 5 HD (on SCV) is at 370Mhz. If u are using NextPVR to receive then u need some modification of the tuning files (extension ini) to include 370Mhz.

I have a file "Singapore DVB-C channels.ini" saved in the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-C

Inside, the contents are:
PHP:
[CABTYPE]
1=Singapore
2=Detected Frequencies QAM64 (6.875MBd SR)

[DVB]
0=5
1=C,370000,6875,QAM64,8
2=C,514000,6875,QAM64,8
3=C,562000,6875,QAM64,8
4=C,594000,6875,QAM64,8
5=C,642000,6875,QAM64,8

Thanks for input, but still no joy for, CH5 HD not available after adding this file & rescan also.. tried rescan again after system restart also :(

You are welcomed but hope to have many peeps share so we can gauge the QC and reliability but for a $SGD 30 product and based on my personal experience with it i cannot hide my delight :s13:
On my T230, I activated the 'subtitle' in TotalMedia software, but see only Chinese subtitles, unlike on StarHub channel 155 (Ch. 5 HD) where I can see English subtitles.

Can any of you see English subtitles in English language movies on Ch. 5 HD, using the T230?

Is this via DVB-T2 or DVB-C? There is an icon in TMT 3.5 at the bottom right corner which states the language of subtitles or hide ;)

Thanks. Will test when the DVB-T2 signal is back. Seems like they switch off the repeaters. Still not indoor-ready.

If u don't want the auto recording video files on c: drive's "~$PVRTmp0$" folder, just go to:

TotalMedia>Setting>TV>TV Settings>Time Shifting, and select "Off", Apply and Save.

I realised that "Time Shifting" seems to be "ON" when I watch TV on Windows Media Center. Anyway to disable it?

not sure about the disable of time shifting, but to shorten the video recording time,
go to wmc>task>settings>tv>recorder, to change the settings.

Hi All,

I also purchased a Geniatech MyGica T230 DVB-T2/DVB-C USB Tuner, all the channels that are from DVB-T. I am encountering the following issues:

1)I have problems viewing channels like Channel U, Non-HD Channel 5, Non-HD Channel 8, where i can only hear the audio but no pictures. I have no problem viewing HD channels such as Suria, Ch8, OKTO etc.

2)The chinese characters for Ch8's programme description in the Programme Guide are not displayed correctly. Those rubbish characters are displayed instead.

Please help. Thanks!

Your PC probably do not have the necessary video decoder.
Download and install LAV filters.

You probably need to install MPEG2 (?) video decoders. If some of your HD channels have video but no audio, install the AC3 audio decoder. Probably can install all..

Hope this helps. I not using T230 so you need to test out.. :(

Ordered on 29 Jun 2015. Receive it on 13 Jul. Supposed to get it on 10 Jul 2015 but missed the delivery.

Tried it already. Can receive all the local HD channels + SD channels via :

1. Antenna supplied
2. Old TV antenna point on the wall

I managed to try out on the Starhub DVB-C TV antenna point. Scan and found 52 channels but cannot watch at all. CANNOT watch local channel at all.

Overall, still good buy.
