You're probably looking at a Medium (or 17") frame size bike then.. do test out the bike to confirm before buying.

Accessories wise, think you'll have to look around. I usually get mine from 1-2 places since its convenient for me; TEF or Hup Leong. For the helmet, check with the shop on their replacement policy in the event of helmet damage due to crash, iirc, brands like Bell and Giro have a replacement policy where you can get another helmet for a subsidized price if its damaged from a crash.

can any kind soul give advice n tips on getting a road bike for a first time buyer? have experience riding mtb but not actually tried out road bike yet...so would like to know like shops, brands, prices of roadbikes in singapore..

My cousin left it in his condo for more than 5 years.Now the management want to him to remove it but he cant find the key.

Yes, I would think so since your cousin isn't available to unlock the bike and if he wants you to collect the bike on his behalf.

Anyway, now my elder brother is tempted. But he doesn't want an expensive one, cuz he is testing waters only. Thus, I understand Hasa is a respectable entry-level mtb (at least better than Aleoca)? Can he get one in the region of $150-$200+?

PS: Does any buddies here know the current street prices of Hasa Comp 5.0/ 6.0?

PPS: Are Raleigh bikes (especially their Mojave series) any good? I've been lurking on other biking forums, noticeably togoparts.com's. I saw that it's quite popular among the budget-conscious newbies.

Yeah raleigh bikes are a popular choice among entry level bike. I will recommend that against HASA bike. The frame is strong and value for money. The price is around 250-270.
